I was running with euro mdm on. I didn’t even think about that. It will be a every once in a while street car with becoming a more dedicated track vehicle. I’ll be in Austin in March so I will run by and check them out. I appreciate it.

The worst is going from a seat/harness back to a 3pt belt. But the worst was the right knee...rubbed raw by the end of the weekend. Took 1 event to convince me to go to a quick fit.

Do I also need to upgrade brake pads? Mine were very smelly the last session of the day. Does that mean I’m overheating them? Does anyone have a good suggestion for a dual purpose pad. Tia

Probably. Any steering wheel vibration when you're on the brakes with normal driving now?

You can drive some race pads on the street but they squeal like crazy and dust up your rims something awful with a nasty dust that is hard to clean---especially if it gets wet, and the cold pads are hard on your cold rotors. A "hybrid" pad that is quiet on the street and doesn't make much dust just won't serve you well during hard track driving. You just need to swap. Your front Stoptechs should make that process easier. Welcome to the downward spiral we call motorsport! |

Yeah I jumped in with both feet I think, lol. I may order up the rear bbk to make swap easier. I think other than pads, tires, coilovers, cage, harness and seats I’m set. Haha

I'm kicking myself for not doing that when I was building my E46. But I was throwing ~20k at it at the time so saving a few thousand here and there was more important. I made sure to get a Ground Control kit that could be reused if I swap dampers. Regarding pads, as others said, you won't find a street-able pad that will work great on track and street. I run StopTech Sport Pads on my E92 M3, because it only sees 1-2 track days a year and only for giving demo rides to students. If I run OEM pads on the E92 and drive flat out, I destroy them and will shatter rotors in a single day (or more often that not, half the day). The E92 is a heavy fucker to haul down from 140+ mph for 20 minutes at a time. |

Maybe I'm an old azz man but I wouldn't recommend smoking weed if you're on track the next day. Nor would I recommend more than 1-2 beers.
I know...I'm a such a party pooper.

The rears are easy as is. Not sure if rear BBKs (Stoptechs) are even easier.
I'm stuck on the suspension selection. Seems to be a lot of MCS thrown around in this subforum |

I can swap pads on all 4 corners in 10 minutes if needed. Usually takes about 20 min while doing a quick inspection of the suspension.
