Enclosed Trailer Transportation from FL to CA

Hi guys

I don't know if this subject can be posted here or not. I have been a lurker for a year+ and saw people's comments about using enclosed trailer transportation and there was this one company many people praised about but I can't locate those comments.

Does anyone know a good company for this service from FL to SOCAL? I need to get an estimate for this.

Thank you guys in advance!

You might get a college kid to drive it across the country for beer money and gas.

I used Montway to ship my X5 enclosed from Raleigh NC to Seattle WA - I think it was $2300 as I recall (open transport was $1700). I've shipped 3 BMWs with 3 different companies and Montway was by the far the best of those 3. Very good customer service, you get updates along the way as the vehicle crosses the US, etc.

Good call doing enclosed. My M3 was shipped open transport from Cincinnati to Seattle and it was a complete disaster when it showed up. Never again will I do open transport, especially when the cost different isn't that much.

Thank you for this info, I looked into it and the pricing is better than my other quote so far.

I've read good things about reliable carriers but they're pricey.

I used Montway because they were able to get the car in the time table I needed. They contact out though so you don't really know what kind of driver or truck you're going to get. The customer service was quick.

Used Montway to ship a car from TX to CA, absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. I'd give them 10/10.

Yes, a friend of his. Sadly Mark has disappeared from the forums. I saw that he occasionally visits

Slightly OT, but anyone know how much it is for moving a car from Southern California to Austin TX and back?

try getting the quote from Montway, it was easy and quick to get the quote and they didn't require phone number.

I had my car transferred from Carmax Texas to Orange County, CA before and it was 500 dollar but they tend to be more expensive than other transportation services. My friend owns a transportation company and quoted me 900 ( not enclosed ) from Florida to Cali so I would say it will be half of that price in general..

Thanks!
$950 one way!! I just can't justify that for a track event.
What's your friends company?
Thanks again.

I can't spend days driving back to Cali due to my business..

Plus, I have an 11-month-old baby and my wife did not like the idea of me even flying out to Florida during this COVID situation and driving back so now I am actually working on the dealer to dealer transfer to California.

Originally I thought I could do e-sign the purchase contract then I was going to get enclosed transportation to bring it here, however, I discovered that vehicle purchase contract cannot be signed by e-sign so it made the situation bit more complicated.

Full disclosure

I am actually getting F06 M6 instead of E92 so I don't know if driving the long-distance experience will be similar to yours or not.

I have actually been lurking this forum for over a year to get E92 in fact, I did purchase one last year for a short moment but I had to return it due to undisclosed accident history I found during the post-purchase inspection since then many things happened in my life and I couldn't purchase another one right away and when finally thought I would get myself one again I decided to go with M6 instead.

So naturally, I made this post on this forum instead of M6 forum because I just never really spent any time over there..

Thank you guys all for reaching out and leaving me great recommendations.. I wish I could have used it as it would save me a lot of money and time.. but my option is super limited for reasons I explained above
