Bushings

Hi all! My first post in a while.

I have a 2008 E92 M3, I'm the first owner, about 30,000 miles. I recently have been driving it more recently, and it's lost some of that tight feeling it had when it was new. Specifically, when making direction changes (especially settling into a turn at higher speed) the car just doesn't feel tight. It's harder to place it exactly where I want in a turn when driving aggressively.

Could this be worn bushings? What bushings are we needing to replace on our M3s? I don't want solid race bushings, just want back to that new OEM feel.

I talked to a my friend, and he suggested the sway bar end links. Thoughts?

30K would be quick for bushings to wear out.
The front control arms are cheap, you can inspect for play and replace if you wish. If they are fine and you want to tighten them up, you can get a sealed monoball bearing pressed in.
Tires good? Alignment good? I doubt it's endlinks.

Tires are good. Alignment hasn't been done for a year but the car tracks straight. I'll take it in to my local shop and see what they say, will update you guys.

Interesting enough, the same thing happened on my Acura Integra GSR after I had it for the same amount of time (~12 years). I never was able to figure out what made the car feel loose in turns, so I ended up selling it.

Sounds kinda stupid, but did you check your tire pressure?

Regardless of anything else you should change your front thrust bushings to solid ones, well worth it, no downsides

Sway bar end links are relatively cheap and easy to replace, and you can check underneath and see if they're worn. 30K seems low to have worn bushings, but it has been 12+ years, and I would imagine ozone, moisture, etc. can slowly degrade them. I'd probably suspect a worn control arm bushing somewhere. Not terribly expensive to refresh the front control arms and sway bushings. I did for my '12 at 58K miles and it really tightened up the feel a lot.
