I don't want to go looking for things to swap or ways to make the car firmer, and did not plan on these. It was only after I felt the shimmy ...
I'm sure it's not the brakes and I would be surprised if it's the tires. I will inspect the stock bushings closer, get an alignment, and will go from there.
I knew these were better and both cars were seeing heavy track time with bbks

There were zero shimmies before though. One of the cars saw 40 track days before I got around to swapping them

Then it’s gotta be something else (or mine are worn, in which case id be content with fresh OE). I’ll investigate and report back. Nice to know most of the bushings and joints in this car seem more robust than those on the 46.

That's why I commented on the thread, because there's no way your shimmy is due to the bushings unless you have a billion miles on the car

Replacing the arms is quite easy and can be done just with jackstands. It isn't an expensive thing to change

From Ben at RE.

"Although the monoball versions do not transmit NVH, they are also unforgiving. If you hit the cracks in the road, or small potholes, the go right through the control arm and what feels like straight into the steering wheel. The urethane bushings of our FTAB give some comfort to the ride while maintaining precision."

I will agree with the 2nd sentence, but not the first. I know it seems crazy, but as others have said, there really is no downside. You feel the road a bit more, but somehow it does so without adding harsh vibrations or jerks/jolts. I had the fall line ones and loved them on the street and the track. And I was in your situation with the shimmy actually and the monoballs completely fixed it. I ended up taking mine off so I could install the SPL full solid arms.

(And shameless plug, I'm selling my old monoballs already installed in oem arms LINK)
