Recently heard of Hagerty as well and wanted to switch but the horrible reviews on yelp turned me off. Literally 1 star after 1 star. Apparently they're good until you try to make a claim with them.
I'm thinking of doing All State drive per mile program. Anyone use this?

Keep in mind that Yelp is basically the first place people go to write complaints, aside from like the BBB website. I don't think many people think to themselves "I really like my car insurance, I better go let the people on yelp know." I actually just signed up with them a couple of days ago. Of course, I haven't filed a claim yet. If you look them up on other car forums you can get some more reviews. |

I have Hagerty on 6 cars, they are excellent. Also they are all insured at stated value. The M3 I valued at 100k. If a car is ever totaled I get to keep the car as well.
Note: I've never had a claim on any of the cars *knocks on wood* but they came highly recommended.

Grundy has the best rates.
I called up Grundy ($800 year for my supra) american collectors($1500year) Hagerty. ( 2500 year) I haven't claims from 4 years ago which is what caused slightly higher prices 0 tickets or at fault accidents. I would 100% make sure to call Grundy for a quote. actually call them all see which is best for you. Grundy was the one with less requirements also. they said how much you want to value it at,? 110k? ok cool here's your price. xxx

Also should note that if your car is modified (my E92 M3 is), then the mods are covered too!

Hagerty Claims Questionable
I was excited about Hagerty until further probing.
We all luv a low premium price, it's when a claim arises the value proposition becomes apparent. Hmmm?!? Consumer Affairs: https://www.consumeraffairs.com/insurance/hagerty.html So any M3 claims experience to share? Like the ole Fram commercial said "Pay me now or pay me later".

I just transitioned the M3 from USAA to Hagerty at $60k agreed upon value. The car is only driven on the street to/from the track or shop. Wasn't really any less than USAA but all the track mods are covered under the $60k umbrella vs blue book + 20%.

Of course, my friend. Everyone now uses insurance, according to the type of this site Moneyexpert.com. Especially when you have a new or vintage car. You understand that the car as a means of transportation is hazardous, according to statistics. There is always a chance that you will get into an accident. Not only will you pay for your treatment, but you will have to pay the full amount of car repairs. Believe me, the practice has shown that insurance is the best solution for your financial security. But still, it's up to you. Some people don't want to pay the amount to the insurance company every few months, knowing that they drive a car with confidence, etc.

Body shop agreed the appraiser was right on in his estimate and it was more than fair. Later Hagerty agreed to reimburse me for the cost of several moldings that broke while being removed for paint. so imo my claims experience was pretty good. They do not provide a rental car though, since this is not meant to be your primary car coverage. Which I had no problem with since I had other cars I normally drive.

Not really collector car insurance but I'm paying $1,200 per year with a $58,000 stated value on my 2011 E90 M3 at Progressive.
