Bluetooth Audio Stuttering

So I just bought a 2012 M3 with Nav package earlier this week. It’s been a dream come true, literally.

I have one issue though. The audio periodically stutters when using Bluetooth. Has anyone experienced this? It seems like it works pretty well when the car isn't moving and pretty perfectly when the engine is off. It's worst when I'm accelerating or decelerating.

I’m trying to search google/forums but so far I haven’t had much luck with a solution.

my Bluetooth is buggy also and cuts and have to reconnect here and there. I just let it be because we have vintage cars lol

Ha I wouldn't call a 2012 a vintage car! I came from a 2003 330i so built-in Bluetooth is pretty fancy.

Did your bluetooth stutter? Like it'd cut out for a split second and come back? Or did it just completely lose connection with your phone?

once it first stutters it continues to stutter and then I reocnnect and it's fine

How long does your car go before stuttering? Minutes? Hours? Days?

2011, with iPhone, Bluetooth will stutter and have static. I cycle Bluetooth on/off with the phone and it returns to normal. Mostly drive with radio off, so I am uncertain when, or how often this occurrs. Let us know if you find a solution.

Found a solution!!

Since it got worse when I was moving I had a hunch it was a loose connection somewhere. After some research I found that the bluetooth antenna is in the driver footwell. I took a look at it and found that the connector wasn't snapped in. I pushed it all the way in and now (knock on wood) it seems to work!

Good day i had the same issue with mine as well the bluetooth connectivity was poor and kept stuttering all the time what i did was disconnect the battery and reconnect that helped ever since cause it reset the settings.hope it helps you as well

anyone here suffering from the audio lag from bluetooth?
mine has a 1.5 second delay on both bluetooth and while connected via USB
