I know this is resurrecting an old thread, but this failure is very unusual for these engines & it would be interesting to see the side of the rod pic.

Btw, did this engine have a raised RPM limit?

Did you post your thread? I assume you didn't mean your 2012 engine incident btw? And does that mean it happened to you twice!?
