240e software update

Does anybody know the steps on how to update my '08 M3 software to 240e. I looked all over the forums and I haven't found steps or zusb number. I've done PPK flashes with a K+DCAN. Can I do 240e with K+DCAN?

No, you'll be left with a car that doesn't start.

And you were completely right. I wish I would've read this message sooner. Just paid $400 to have a tuner recover my DME. If anybody is reading this, DO NOT use WINKFP to try this.

You could have sent it to us for a less costly recovery. $400 to simply get it running is ridiculous if no flashing cable is involved.

Hello, guys!

Could you tell me ZB number of 240E software (or 241E better)?

I tried to update my DME, but WinKFP does not suggest me newest software for my car than I have now. SP-Daten is last (v59). ZB number of my DME is 7846405. So WinKFP suggests the same software with the same number. And it equals 220E what I see in inpa.

How can I update to 240E?

Ты бы уточнил людям, что тебе нужна прошивка для европейской версии, а то они сейчас напишут тебе номер от американки.

Do not use WINKFP,

You will brick your DME. Hit up Alex from Alpine MSS.

Bump to an old thread for BPMSport.. tried to PM you but your inbox is full.

Hi, I saw some of your posts about software updates, etc...
I have a 2009 (build date 09/08) E92 M3. It has a Dinan Tune. I've got a USB with the 2019 maps update but I can't get it to work. I plug it in and nothing happens. Tried several times, different flash drives, they're all formatted correctly. One of the guys on the forum said he believes my software needs updated to accept USB updates? I called Bimmertech and they ran the last 7 of my VIN and said I'm still on the original software that came with the car and it needs updated.
Called the dealership here locally, and they want $150-$300 for this. Seems outrageous to me.

Do you know if that's why I can't get the maps to update? If so, is there a less expensive way of doing it?

Thank you for your time.
Tim
