Meaty Fitment

Whats up guys, looking to switch out from the stance look to the meaty look.

First question, Im getting some Forgestar SDCs in 19x9.5/11 offsets in the mid 20s and was wondering if I can fit a 275/30 and 305/30 setup with something like a Hankook V12 tire and still be pretty low? or would I really need to run a 265/295 setup? I don't want to have to use spacers and would like to be pretty flush. I am currently running KW Clubsports.

Thanks in advance!

I think you'd be fine with a V12 with camber dialed in.

Though, define "pretty-low", everybody has a different opinion.

I think it might work but there's a chance of slight rubbing. IMO a 265/295 setup would work better...also, I don't consider 30 series tires to be meaty. I prefer 35 series tires for that meaty look with bigger sidewalls. All my opinion of course as looks are subjective.

Here's my car with Hankook V12s 255/35 & 285/35 on 19x9.5 & 19x11 wheels but I'm using 7.5mm spacers all around to clear my calipers. To me, this is meaty and completely flush. If you aren't gonna spacers, your could get away with a wider setup for sure.

I would like to have the least amount of tire gap as possible, the set up above me is what I would be looking for. I know Id have to adjust my camber from how it sits now, its like -2 something right now.

That looks awesome man! I think your offsets are lower than mine to start with. By meaty I mean a wider tire, not necessarily taller. I am just ditching the stretched look but figured if I went with a 30 profile I could still go just as low considering the height of the tires. I just don't want to run spacers this go around but at the same time don't want to get stuck with too wide of tires. I think they will fit because everyone says V12 run skinner than most brands.

Should have went with a higher offset on the back wheels. I'm on a 305/30 19x11 +33 with stock camber

Agree with ^. You should be ok with the 275 fronts, but I'm running 19x11 +25 on 295/30 MPSS and pretty low on KW sleeves and rub on dips. Not sure how much narrower the V12's would be, but I'm guessing a 305 would be tough to fit without more of an offset.

Do either one of you guys have pictures of your setups? Also what are you running on the fronts? I thought the V12s ran narrow enough to where a 305 in them was the same width as a 295 in other tires.

Thanks man! ...you are right, my offsets are pretty low to begin with. And I totally understand your feelings on stretch and spacers. I too used to love the stretched look (came from the VW/Audi scene) but love the more meaty look now and didn't want to run spacers with these wheels as well, but I had to clear my calipers...no choice.

Nah I'm good. The offsets on these wheels were calculated to run 295/35 without spacers (no desire to run 305s) before I decided to/got some big ass brake calipers. Unfortuntely they do not clear the calipers and I had to run spacers and step down one size in tire. All good though, still looks nice.

Well I guess Im stuck for the moment, I just don't know if the 275/305 will fit and allow me to go as low as I want to.

I think its a coin toss with a 305 hankook tire. It really comes down to your offset being spot on.

I'm on a beefier tire the michelin pss on the same size wheels you listed at 295 in the rear and 275 in the front. My current alignment is within OEM specs and at my current lowering I have no rubbing in the rear or front.

I don't remember my exact offsets but I got my wheels from eas and went with their recommendations for the m3.

That looks great! What are you lowered with? Im on clubsports and want to make sure they will not be getting in the way if i go with the 305.

Not at the moment but I'll find some and post them up. Pics don't really do justice to fat tire fitment.
