Would you buy a replica BMW? Fake is fake. Get the real thing it's much more satisfying.

There's a sweeeeet BMW M3 body kit for the early 90's Civic. I think it even comes with a fake Rolex. Could be wrong. Be the dream.

There are dealers of very very good fakes, however they are not the ones that you may find through a spam email or even a Google search. There are forums like this one but they are closed to google bots and are tough to find. You have to find them through whatever means.

The replicas sold by the spammers are horrible.

I have seen a couple of Omegas up against mine and it is amazing. Especially since one cost my friend about $130. The other has a 7750 movement and was about $200.

I wouldn't, depends why one wants a nice watch to begin with. Is it the timepiece itself, or is it for show?

I've always wanted the Omega Seamaster and almost bought it, but then I said I really don't want to spend the money, and got an automatic Seiko which is nice enough for now.

Fake vs. real is an interesting topic...I've compared $8 Lacoste shirts to the real thing and it's very very hard to spot the difference. The fakes even have bar-coded tags and the model numbers which match the real mccoy. But I know the secret (the actual difference), if you wear a fake I can tell!

When i was in my teens i used to have 2 fakes, But i realized why would i want to flaunt something fake. So i started rockin a Seiko and people loved the way the watched looked. Trust me having the real authentic thing. (im not saying a fake watch wont work as well as a real watch, or a fake polo shirt wont last as a real one but someone notices it on you is the embarresment)

If you dont care about it being swiss movement get a seiko, citizen, orient, invicta, etc all these watches have sweet designs.. goodluck...

99% of fakes won't last a long time, especially if you get it wet or once you drop it. There are some awesome fake Rolexes out there though. There are even fake makes of fake Rolexes, the really good ones that cost several hundred dollars due to the high quality genuine Swiss movements used in the fake watches. Some fakes Rolexes even claim to be 1000ft water resistant which is almost as good as the real thing such as the Submariner.

If someone knows about watches, they will be able to spot a fake.

If someone see's your watch and knows right away if its a Breitling or Omega or any other high end watch, they will also know if its a fake or not.

For people that dont know much about watches, all they know is its a watch you are wearing. Omega or Breitling mean nothing to them...

Get what I'm saying?

BTW, I have met a few people that wore fake Breitling's at business meetings and even social event's, I'm not trying to be pretentious, but right away it gives me the feeling of "this person is full of shit" right off that bat. Not a great first impression you want to be giving people. I really dont care if they are wearing a $20 dollar G-Shock watch, but having on a replica and then having to do business with this person makes me question everything.

It's all about self satisfaction IMO. Why spend $300 on a wallet, $200+ for a pair of glasses when you can go to downtown L.A. at the fashion district and get knock offs for 1/10th the price? Back when I was in high school, a lot of kids thought they were doing big things wearing fake Jacob watches and fake clothing articles, a la Gucci.

With that said, I can't ever rock a fake watch. I'd rather take my time and save the money up to buy the authentic piece.

And like stated, quality is a big factor here. I have an LV wallet, my friend has a fake one. I paid almost $300 for it, he paid $20. I'd say they look pretty identical brand new. But only one stood the test of time. His wallet looks beat up and bummy now.

Since I have an Omega Seamaster, I would never buy a knockoff one. Except in some cases, there is nothing like the real thing IMO.

I hate replica watches.

I still don't own a watch because I can't afford the one that I want, but I would rather do that than have a replica. I was going to order a breitling steelfish, but I ordered coilovers instead the other day. Oh well, I have a disease.

Although i've never seen fake Piaget or Patek Phillipe watches. Do they even exist?
