Must have mods?

What are the 1st must have mods for my new E92 M3 that I am picking up today? I already have tint and clear bra planned for tomorrow and I am going to change the reflector right away but what else?

IMO you kinda hit it already....maybe wheels or spacers and a small drop if you're feeling up for it, but if you're aiming to keep it relatively OEM, then I think you're good to go with that.

with the m3, i would just fix up the exterior and leave the go mods alone. front lip/rear diffuser/rims first!!!!!!!!

i don't think there's a "must-have" mod, but i like louder cars, so i got an exhaust first

I think that is what I am going to do. Except for maybe exhaust and an intake. It was a bitch putting the stock intake back in on my 335 yesterday.

So far this is what I am planning:

1. MR Reflectors
2. Gloss black grills and gills with LED turn signals
3. Alpine 10k HIDs
4. Gloss black hood vents
5. VRS lip
6. Arkym Trunk with CF edge exposed.
7. CF mirror caps
8. Black / White Roundels all around

Am I missing anything?

That kinda goes beyond "must-have"? But nice looking list.

Kind of obvious, but add wheel locks to the list if you don't already have them. Here's why.

If you have 6MT...

I highly recommend the diy clutch spring removal. Haven't switched over to ZHP knob yet as I suspect it's a Christmas present but seems to be a solid mod as well for driving interaction enjoyment.

+1. Wouldn't mess with the roundels, myself. He might want to upgrade the pedals to some nice aluminum or stainless ones, and perhaps the rear foglight enable. Exhaust is #1 in my book for both looks and sound.

This. I have both and dont know how i drove without it for that long... I love the zhp and that paired with the clutch spring removal is just pure awesomeness and it gives the car such a smooth feel... Also op and exhaust is probably one of the "must haves" for some people on the forums... Look around on the diy section there is a ton of stuff you can do yourself to get a good exhaust note

I like to think of wheel locks as "keeping honest people honest", because any half-decent thief could get wheel locks off in the same amount of time as a regular lug

My advice is to keep your first mods cosmetic and get to know the car for a month or so. You still have to get past your first break-in service before you can even rev up the engine.

So get to know her, make her pretty and THEN get inside her.

Er... we're talking about cars, right?
