I think you guys are referencing oerding's e93 outfitted with the ess vt-550 kit, and MRF's x-pipe. I believe it did 510 whp on several occasions.

While I hate to get rid of this x-pipe, my M3 is now my daily driver so I don't need so much power anymore just for the street. For the roll-on events, track days and occasional drives, it was perfect for me. But for just driving to work everyday, it's a bit louder than I want given I'm on calls quite frequently.

While I have toyed with the idea of putting cats on my MRF X-pipe, I would hate to be the guy that killed one of only a half-dozen of these currently in existence and the right thing to do is make sure it goes to the right owner who is going to do the right thing - race the f*ck out of their M3 and lay some smack down.

I have an Akra slip so the logical thing for me to do is put on the Evo catted X pipe (yes the very one that was proved to make less power in this thread). Despite the clear power loss, it's the best thing for me at this point. So who wants my MRF X? In exhange I want an Akra Evo X. Straight up trade.

It's been fun. But I've moved on to another race car. Time to pass the reigns.

PM me if interested.

Have you considered the Dinan x-pipe? The four resonators should keep the noise down relative to the MRF pipe but with the power benefits of a catless setup. I can't imagine it would be much louder than the Akra x-pipe since you're trading two 100 cpsi cats for two resonators. I've often thought that if I went FI, I might go with the Dinan x-pipe.

Interesting I haven't heard the Dinan X mated with the Akra slip but figure it would have to be louder than the Akra Evo just by its very nature (since the Dinal has no cats). The Akra Evo system is proven to be quiet (too quiet by most people's standards) so that's what made up my mind.

I think the resonators go a long way towards keeping the system tame. Based on other's reports, I suspect it might be a bit louder than the Akra, but on the spectrum of noise, with the MRF x-pipe at one end and the Akra Evo at the other, I suspect the Akra muffler w/ Dinan x-pipe is much, much closer to the Akra Evo than the MRF x-pipe.

Ok thanks for the info. I'll try the Akra Evo for now. But if I get board with it on my commute I can always change it up again. Yours isn't still for sale is it?

Sadly, no. Would have been happy to see it go to you, though.

Since production was up in the air for so long, I got tired of waiting and picked up a BNIB Fabspeed for $520 shipped. I'll stay with it for now.

We are going to go ahead with production for late March, early April. It's rare to see a used one for sale, they get snatched up rather quickly or never go on sale.

No. That will not go back into production unfortunately.

I managed to get a hold of one of these, all that's needed now is the spring re-release of the midsection to complete the set
