Have fun, it'll take a while to discover just how many circumstances these cars perform above expectation.

With 8200 miles on an almost 5 year-old car, I would make sure some fluids have been changed recently. If not, I would change the engine oil, flush the radiator, and flush the brakes. If it's a 6MT I would even consider changing the gearbox oil. Change the rear diff fluid as well.

+1

I would start with the diff and use the fluid with the FM booster, as I am sure that wasn't available in 2008

First thing I'd do is get a good clear bra job done if you want to keep the finish looking new. BMW's paint isn't that durable and you don't want to see rock chips and bug damage with that pristine low mileage finish.

The problem with a clear bra is two fold, #1 you are keeping the car looking good for the next owner, #2 the paint will fade differently than the rest of the car so depending on how long you leave the clear bra on and how much sun the car gets you might end up repainting anyways to match if you care. And of course you care because that's the whole reason you got the clear bra to begin with. So in short save the money and repaint later down the road.
