For those using the external mic for phone calls, how has the experience been? Seems like the general answer has been "not great" - but I spend a lot of time on the phone for work, so phone quality is probably more important than audio.
Sold the old Carsara box with my car, but looking at another E90 and debating going with the new Carsara unit with only 3.5mm aux, or if it's worth waiting til the new Mr12Volt comes out and living with the Combox and the phone stuck to the dash for now.

Aftermarket Camera setting is designed to be used with the camera, so the parking sensor display is pretty small (and also works a bit differently than the OEM display, so it was a bit jarring for me). On OEM Camera it'll just switch to the OEM screen until the sensors turn off I am guessing that both of these options are purely handled by the settings menu, and not determined by any snipping of any wires on the camera? Thanks in advance!

Sorry for my bad english
I have a problem The Siri button does not work for me. When I am in the original BMW menu it works without problems. When I am in the CarPlay menu it does not work. I have already tried reset but it did not help. Does anyone have an idea how I can solve the problem! Thanks a lot PS: SVS recognition I had already coded. |

Alright I received my unit and installed it yesterday into my 2010 335d. Installation went very well until it wouldn’t show up under the CDs. I figured it needed coding, as explained, so I overnighted a Veapeak BLE adapter from Amazon. I just plugged it in, opened BimmerCode…..and ECU not supported under head unit? I searched around and couldn’t find an answer. What am I missing here?
If I connect my phone via cable it does recognize CarPlay and Idrive is working as normal. View post on imgur.com |

It wasnt clear from your post if you tried the other Headunit ECU which is available. Did you try to code that one? From the OP: Tips for coding with Bimmercode (Thanks djan9el ): Headunit -> Expert Mode -> 3000 HMI Find CDMM_CHANGER_3 option and change it to mp3_cdc CODE -> START CODING |

Hi there!
I purchased the CIC CarPlay system for my e90 335d. The module connects to my phone via WiFi, Bluetooth and the USB input charges my phone BUT the car screen does not display CarPlay, my Audio throughout the car doesn’t work (not even radio) and I have an SOS call system malfunction. All of my CD options are “unchecked” and the car is giving me a bizarre “no warning tones” notification I borrowed a protool programmer and changed the CD changer settings as per the above thread from CDMM_CHANGER_3 to mp3_cdc to no avail. I also found the 4 pin connector to my I drive controller was loose but plugging it in all the way didn’t help. Wondering if you had any ideas as to what this could be! |

Recheck all the optical connectors for proper seating. Are you sure the new module is powered up? |

I would need to retake apart the dash to access the module’s connectors again, which is fine. But yes, the module red light was on the last time I saw it

Bit the bullet on one of these. Given that I was satisfied enough with the Carsara Aux audio I think I'll be content.
The audio thing seems to be hit or miss, but since my new car will have a Combox I may just leverage the OEM Bluetooth if the handoff happens fairly easily.

I see what you mean about the smaller plan of the car, which I guess is probably OK if you have managed to incorporate a 3D view set-up

Meanwhile the E9X and E8X non-M with the Logic7/Harman Kardon (same system just rebranded) have reported no bass loss. So I ask now, did anyone install the Mr12Volt P2000/P2000Lite into their E9X or E8X non-M with the Logic7/Harmon Karmon and notice bass loss? Last edited by sparkyblue; 03-22-2022 at 04:00 PM.. |

Considering that the M3 in the US market only has hifi or individual audio, that means nearly everybody. |
