A7 with SC

WTH? This thing flew off the line. Maybe it had a SC? Typically I don't think of this car as quick but this one surprised me.

Maybe RS7 rebadged? Would smoke an E9xM3. Regular S7 should as well. But even a tuned A7 should not.

Doesn't the regular A7 have the 3.0T that comes with a supercharger?

Definitely an A7. It jumped off the line really quick. I got him on the next light but I was still amazed how fast it was. I didn’t think even an A7 with a SC would give me a challenge ..... but this one did.

The Audi 55 TFSI quattro S tronic is fast ,but the RS7 is really fast !
The RS7 does 0-100 km/h in 3.7 sec ..( 0-62 mph in 3.6 sec.) and has 560HP .
And the new little TT-RS has the same performance numbers with 400HP.

What you saw off the line was Audi's *quattro* system and that's the keyword of the advantage !

I would say to BMW...Wake up ASAP ! BMW did it already with the new ///M5 with AWD !
Actually all M's need AWD, this would make us 0.5 sec. faster to 62 . And that's a lot !

In short...*Power is nothing without control*

It sure does, 3.0 TFSI similar to the B8 and B8.5 S4. I think you'd be surprised how quick those cars are with just a Stage I tune (talking 444hp and 372 ft-lbs from APR on 93 octane: https://www.goapr.com/products/ecu_u...30tfsi_c7.html) and even quicker when you go with a Stage II single pulley or dual pulley setup. Plus, as ///M Power-Belgium mentioned, Quattro helps.

And if you had a manual, the auto would get the jump unless you were planning to race. If not, you might need to play catch up for as long as about 10 seconds -- might be close to 100 before you passed him, and most stoplight races are over before then. These cars are not very fast in daily driving -- you have to work them -- wind them out. The DCT is easier since you just put your foot down and it will pull off a downshift you might not always be prepared to do in a manual. My next car will be twin turbo, auto or DCT/PDK and AWD.

Thanks. That's good info. I'm 100% positive that the one I saw yesterday was not stock.

Friend of mine has an A6 company car with the 3.0...I cannot believe how fast the thing is. The Quattro hooks up like nothing else and 0-45 seemingly pops up instantly.

I have a 2016 Q5 3.0T with EPL stage 1 tune. I can break traction even with the 20" summer tires on it in 1st gear on a nice day. The instant low end torque is no joke. Stage 2 with E85 is a very fast car, even in the heavy A6/A7/Q5, etc. The supercharger is a mini version of the one in Harrop kit (eaton TVS1320 vs TVS1740).

I owned a Stasis-tuned B8 S4 before I bought my M3 (same powertrain as the A7). Can confirm those things can be made stupid-fast for very little money. A very mild tune will absolutely smoke an E90 M3 in a drag race.

The power output is underrated from the factory and you've got gobs of nearly instantaneous torque with AWD. Game over.
