A7 with SC
WTH? This thing flew off the line. Maybe it had a SC? Typically I don't think of this car as quick but this one surprised me.

Definitely an A7. It jumped off the line really quick. I got him on the next light but I was still amazed how fast it was. I didn’t think even an A7 with a SC would give me a challenge ..... but this one did.

The RS7 does 0-100 km/h in 3.7 sec ..( 0-62 mph in 3.6 sec.) and has 560HP . And the new little TT-RS has the same performance numbers with 400HP. What you saw off the line was Audi's *quattro* system and that's the keyword of the advantage ! I would say to BMW...Wake up ASAP ! BMW did it already with the new ///M5 with AWD ! Actually all M's need AWD, this would make us 0.5 sec. faster to 62 . And that's a lot ! In short...*Power is nothing without control*

And if you had a manual, the auto would get the jump unless you were planning to race. If not, you might need to play catch up for as long as about 10 seconds -- might be close to 100 before you passed him, and most stoplight races are over before then. These cars are not very fast in daily driving -- you have to work them -- wind them out. The DCT is easier since you just put your foot down and it will pull off a downshift you might not always be prepared to do in a manual. My next car will be twin turbo, auto or DCT/PDK and AWD.

Friend of mine has an A6 company car with the 3.0...I cannot believe how fast the thing is. The Quattro hooks up like nothing else and 0-45 seemingly pops up instantly.

I have a 2016 Q5 3.0T with EPL stage 1 tune. I can break traction even with the 20" summer tires on it in 1st gear on a nice day. The instant low end torque is no joke. Stage 2 with E85 is a very fast car, even in the heavy A6/A7/Q5, etc. The supercharger is a mini version of the one in Harrop kit (eaton TVS1320 vs TVS1740).

I owned a Stasis-tuned B8 S4 before I bought my M3 (same powertrain as the A7). Can confirm those things can be made stupid-fast for very little money. A very mild tune will absolutely smoke an E90 M3 in a drag race.
The power output is underrated from the factory and you've got gobs of nearly instantaneous torque with AWD. Game over.
