Beru TPMS now Huf TPMS

Back in January 2012, the Beru TPMS division was sold to Huf. They are changing over the branding of the sensors, so while they are continuing to make the same parts, they will say Huf on them rather than Beru.

Again, there is no change in the hardware, only in the branding of the sensor.

A little off topic but why does the year matter for tpms?

BMW changed the signal frequency in 2010. Not sure why...

It was a hardware issue as I recall. The newer sensors allowed them to reduce the amount of other TPMS hardware in the car. The change was not noticeable to the consumer, but was a bit 'cleaner' from an engineering perspective.
