FS: 2009 E90 M3 Sedan 6MT Melbourne Red 93K Miles
Hello, Update: Car is now for sale. It looks like I may have found a replacement vehicle. Thank you all for the PM feedback. Had a handful of very strong offers, but none have firmed up their position. I'm updating the post and price to include both sets of wheels in the asking price!!! Set 1: Factory 18" wheels, with 225/45R18 Sottozero 3's with 2 winters on it. Set 2: Volk Racing G2 19" Wheels with 275/30R19 and 295/30R19 PZeros (bout 65% tread left). Overall, these are in good condition, with one portion that has a dime sized painted area flake off. I have extra Sepang Bronze paint in a small can I can include with the wheels. It's with great sorrow that I may list my E90 M3 Sedan, as I am currently looking for an automatic that allows my wife to drive my car when I take my kids out in the family hauler for mountain biking events. Unfortunately, due to injury, she cannot drive a manual due to back a sciatic pain. Been looking at W205 C63S sedans, as engine character is a massive checkbox for me. If it doesn't work out, I will probably decide to keep the car since they are so hard to come by / a dying breed. If I keep it, I plan to replace the full suspension with aftermarket coils as it's about time they are refreshed. Details: 2009 M3 Sedan E90 Melbourne Red / Black 93K Miles (barely gets miles due to work from home). WBSPM93519E201722 Specs: - 6 Speed Manual - Idrive - EDC - Carbon Cloth Trim - Leather Heated Seats - Enhanced Premium Sound - Factory Alarm - Sirus Satellite - Moon Roof Condition: As it was a daily driver, I rate it a 7.5 - 8. Overall very good conditions. A few rock chips on the hood and a few door panels where paint protection isn't found. The bottom bumper underneath has scrapes you can't see, as well as some ripped areas of the underbody felt pieces on the sides. There's a slight scrape in the paint protection on the front right bumper, but no damage done to the actual bumper. A few road rash parts on the 18" wheels found from when I purchased the car (use for winter wheels). Interior I do leatherique oil / cleaner twice a year (haven't done it in 2021 yet as I wait for warm weather / strong sun to do the process). 6 Speed shifter as a light bubble in the laminated top, which I planned originally to convert to the F10 M5 Shifter. Otherwise, I would say in better condition than most cars with this mileage. The previous owner seemed to have been cleptophobic, putting a small 7 digit etching on each window I assume for a tracking service in the past. From the install of the test pipe mid last year, I smell a very minor amount of exhaust from under the car. I've heard a lot of feedback it's either the nature of the test pipes themselves, or a difficult gasket connecting the test pipe. Repairs Engine / Bearings - Summary, 21KMi Newer engine installed with VAC/ARP. - Original Engine spun a bearing 500 miles after purchasing from BMW Laval Quebec in May 2016 (53K Miles). Laval wouldn't do anything, claiming got the oil changed from the local BMW dealer right when I received it (Erhard in MI), stating the local dealer might have messed up the vehicle. After a long battle with BMW Laval and BMW NA (CA and US), they declined to offer any assistance. - Engine replaced with an engine out of 2010 M3 DCT with 33K miles (21K less miles and no risk of overrev). Before install, I had the rod bearings / bolts replaced with VAC extra clearance / ARP bolts while on an engine stand. Runs extremely strong, consistent with FBO/catless E9X M3's. - I've done Blackstone every 4-5K miles since install of replacement engine with new bearings/bolts, and the reports have been essentially perfect. Last report at 90.5K miles was so great, Blackstone asked if the bearings in there are aluminum (I can send all the reports to those who are interested, or search my posts here) - A new OEM LUK clutch, header-to-engine gaskets and OEM engine mounts were installed at this time. Throttle Actuators - One of them went bad in Dec 2019, so I replaced both with the M Power Motorsport upgraded TA's. Running perfect since. Driveline - New guibo and center support bearing installed last year (slight ding from driveline when transitioning loads at low speed) Spark Plugs - Change was last done Dec 2019, around 3.5K miles ago (replaced a total of 3 times since ownership thru FCP Euro). Brakes - replaced front/rear rotors and pads about 2 years ago / 15k miles. OEM floating rotors and DS2500 pads. Additional Upgrades/Updates: - Volk Racing G2 19" Wheels in Sepang Bronze Metallic (BMW M Color). May include at the right price. Car comes with Factory 18" wheels. - M Performance Steering Wheel for 6MT, red stripe - Dinan Intake - M Performance Exhaust V1 - Test Pipes - Alpine Tune - SPL Front End Links (have rears too but haven't installed yet) - New Center DSC/Power/EDC Block from FCP Euro. I wouldn't have commented on this, but that damn switch is so annoying with the buttons falling off, I just replaced this 2 weeks ago, and smashed the old one with a hammer for therapy. - Car has older paint protection installed (installed from previous owner). Covers full bumper, front half of hood and front of quarter panels and side mirrors. I was planning to remove in the spring, but paint looks in really good condition underneath. - 4 month old / 500 mile Pilkington windshield. https://photos.app.goo.gl/rju4HEZmUufTY9TeA Last edited by anerbe; 03-16-2021 at 10:32 AM.. Hi guys, sorry it’s been a difficult week at work with automotive part shortages and plant shutdowns.
I’ll try to catch up with the group here during the weekend and respond to all the PM’s. I don’t have a target price, so feel free to PM me an offer. A car I had my sights on sold before I could make a move, so I’m still looking for the next car. I knew the spec was rare, but still surprised with all the PM’s. |

Probably the cleanest, most well maintained E90 M3 I've seen. Loved by an enthusiast. High price maintenance items already done and out of the way. Whoever gets this is VERY lucky...

Hey guys, I haven't given it a proper detail in forever, especially with winter: I plan to drop off to get some paint correction done at a great local shop all day Wednesday. I'll take pics to post up Thursday for those who want updated pictures. Thanks!

Note the one pic - small scrape on the front left bumper edge. Note that this is the Paint Protection Film rubbed off, there doesn't appear to be any scratch to the bumper underneath.
