KW Clubsports Rear Rebuild / Shock mount Question

Hello,

Will be buying a set of KW Clubsports second hand and sending them to KW to be re-built.

I am looking to change the rear shockmounts during install. My current car is EDC. I am correct in assuming I will need to buy new Non-EDC shockmounts to mate with the KW CS?

Also, is there anything else that I should be replacing at this time?

It depends on which version KW CS you bought.. they make a EDC version and non EDC version. That will be the mount you'll need to buy for the new shock mount

Non edc shock mount from power flex doesn’t fit on the KW Clubsport non edc rear.

I called KW today. One of their reps said that I would need an EDC rear shock mount even if the KW CS are non-EDC because my car is EDC???

the car's mounting points are identical. The difference is the thickness of the shaft between EDC and non EDC

hmmm....buy 10 and 12 mm rear RSM and see which one fits, then return the other one. My car was edc but can't remember which ones i went with.

That doesn't make any sense. The difference between EDC and non is in the shock's rod diameter and corresponding mount, not in the chassis.

If you have KW CS for EDC, then the rod diameter will be wider requiring the EDC specific shock mount which fits the wider diameter.

If you have the CS for non-EDC, then the rod diameter will be narrower requiring the non-EDC specific shock mount which fits the narrower diameter.

I just installed my Kw Clubsports yesterday (EDC version in car with EDC)

I went with the Dinan shock mounts (EDC version) as NON of the mounts from powerflex worked. The rear shock shafts are 14mm on the KW Clubsports and so are the OEM EDC M3 shocks. Powerflex only makes a 10mm and 12mm mount. I know this because I order the powerflex mounts first and had to send them back.
