X6 to M3 wheels

Found a set of winter oem wheels off an X6. Bolt pattern is 5x120 and center bore is same for rears but the X6 front is larger(74mm vs 72.5mm). The bolt thread is also different m12(X3) vs M14(X6).

I'm assuming I can still use the M3's lugs on the X6 wheels however, do I just need a different centering ring for the different front center bore?

m14 is 2mm thicker than m12. Personally, I would stop there. However, realoem.com lists 2nd generation mini wheels as available for the 1st generation mini with the same part number. Second generation mini uses m14 bolts. 1st generation mini is m12. See this: http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?p=449128 and this http://www.outmotoring.com/m14-or-m1...ace-ready.html

Seems like the larger center bore could easily be fixed with a centering ring to bring it down to the right size but the bolt size would be the bigger hurdle(re:expensive). I saw that conversion kit and adding ~$200 makes the wheels less of a good deal :/
