M5 all the way. If you are looking for some thing practical yet sporty. It's the best production sport sedan available currently in the market, it has the ability to pulverize supercars while carrying four in massive comfort.
You should talk to folks who are currently driving the F10 M5, and ask for there feedback on it. Every thing i've heard so far...it's an amazing car. |

This pretty much sums up what I think too. M3 all the way.

Our family has both and I feel the M5 too refined. Its very fast but not in fun way like an M3.
I find it almost too fast to have much fun on the roads with and very heavy and unwieldy on the track. Its a great everyday car though if you are looking for something big and relaxed. As always its a personal choice though.... |

I say you should keep the ones you have for now and wait for the next gen M3 to come out and see what you want. If it's me, I will wait for the 2nd yr the next M3 comes out as car makers always found problem with the 1st yr models.
I haven't driven the new M5 but many car reviews saying the new M5 is not as good the as older one especially the steering feel. Many reviews say the same thing about the steering feel is too artificial for an M car. Not sure if you will like it after you have been driving the M3 which has wonderful steering feel. |

Owned a 2007 M5 E60...icredible power, blistering fast. Spot on handling. Absolutely horrible on gas and as a daily driver. SMG is just to primal and violent as a tranny. Great car for the track and to haul golf clubs ! Owned a 2008 335i.....awesome gas mileage, fun and spirited car to drive. You get use to the power really quick, wanting more and you realize quickly it needs some handling upgrades. Oh yeah....went through X3 HPFP...wtf Current car...2008 M3 E92 / Carbon roof / Charcoal Grey / 16000kms....LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT...... D |

How about an E92 M3 and a F10 M5, both in Frozen Gray It's really the best of both worlds to have both of these cars as they offer very different things yet hail from the same DNA. The E92 with its sharp and responsive nature and the M5, with its sledge hammer brutality and executive poise. They are both great cars!

Hey Guys,
It was an eventful past weekend, my wife and I visited charlotte to test drive the M5. After driving it, I was absolutely in love. Hendrick BMW had 10 2013 M5s, different colors and options, so we found one exactly how we would have optioned it and purchased it. Part of the deal, I ended up trading in my 335i, M3 convertible, and Jeep Rubicon. I'm going to miss the Jeep, but I'm positioning myself to purchase the new M3/M4 coupe when it comes out :-) Below are a couple of pictures. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and advice. it was definitely interesting reading all of your opinions. I'll have a review of the new beast after driving it some more, but it is an AMAZING machine and has that awesome M pedigree! |

M5 - Too big for a track car.
M3 - The S65 V8 is just too perfect. M4 - Eh, the new design is still growing on me. The 6 with tt just doesn't turn me on like the V8. |
