If that was the bronze one at Auto Classic then it was a POS- clearly had been in a decent crash and repaired.
I was offered low $60's for my 2005 M3 with 30,000kms (for a trade on an M5), when they had a 2002 model in there with more than double kms and $75k on it. They will try it on i guess, would have thought that the M3 was an easy car for them to have on the lot, particularly the price range they now seem to be in. ps- if anyone else hears of an E92 for $90k let me know! |

I was considering a trade-in for a demo 550 when they offered me $75k for a 2001 E46 M3 with 60K km. Three months later I sold it privately on carsales.com.au for $90k. In fact this was back in 2007. Even if you get $2k more in a private sale compared to a trade-in, the money is better off in your pocket than in someone else's.
There are people out there looking for a well looked after cars and willing to pay a reasonable price.

I sold my E46 M3 today (payment pending). So I will now start saving and looking for an E92 M3 or E60 M5. Ideally I'd rather buy privately and preferably a car about to be traded in order to get a good deal, so the fun and frustration now begins!

I've got a E70 LCI X5 xdrive40d coming in two weeks and I'm trying to decide whether to let the M3 go on a trade - not that I'm unhappy with it.

Just got back from Autoclassic after viewing the Fire Orange E92 M3. I was offered a ballpark of about $120k based on the figures I provided him. May be worth more if he inspect the car but it was a saturday. Overtrade price on the Fire Orange was about $6k

That's pretty good. I hope it's not a tactic to get you to trade up! What condition is yours mate?
