Why would it be there by Wednesday if your dealer said that it wouldn't be there until Columbus day?

Congrats, I'm very jealous. Mine just got to the Charleston VPC today, and my dealer expects it early to middle of next week. Looks like I won't be picking it up until the 18th.

i got pretty lucky, i was on a hunt for an 08 in august and i thought i had found the m3 i wanted, however, the dealer wanted $1300 a month (lease) for the car. So i took my business else where. Thats when i found a dealer who had the same 09 on order, and no one put a deposit on yet, so i snatched her at 67k, fully loaded.

As of 8 Oct my car is at the Charleston(?) VPC. Then the transport to PC in Spartanburg, SC, for my pickup on 23 Oct
However, I still don't know if it got damaged on the ship during tropical storm Kyle. Where would my CA find that info (ie, I didn't see any place for it on the DCSnet Vehichle Inquiry report)

I have the same concern regarding storm damage. It would not show up on the VIR. As far as I know, the only way one would know if his or her car had been damaged would be (1) if told by the dealer, or (2) if the car took unusually long to be released from the VPC (implying repair work). Naturally, my car got to the VPC at the same time as yours, so if it isn't released to the trucking carrier by Friday, I'll be concerned and will specifically question my CA about it.

Your situation is a little different since it's going to the PC and waiting for you. You probably wouldn't know if the car was delivered next week or the week after. Still, the VIR should show when your car is released from the VPC. I would only be concerned if there were some holdup.

I'm very concerned about any storm damage and paint touch-up on the front of the car, because I'm getting a full Clear Bra wrap on the front of the car by a guy out of Charlotte. He told me the paint must have cured for at least 30 days prior to wrap or problems will occur. I'll keep bugging my CA

UGH!

I can't believe that my car has been here for two days already and I can't pick it up. My CA promised the pull ahead program would be in effect for me to get out of my wife's X5 when the new M arrived, but it has been discontinued. I have no choice now but to wait several months for the lease to end, or for a new pull ahead program to be launched.

That sux. It sounds like you're in the no man's land of your lease term. Too little time left to do an assumption, too much time to get out of it.

I learned my lesson on leases several years ago when I tried to get out of a Porsche Turbo lease early and it would have cost a fortune, but at the back-end of the lease were they ready to deal with me. No more leases for me

According to the DSCnet VIR pulled today by my CA, the VPC has not detected any damage to my car as a result of it's journey on the PATRIOT through tropical storm Kyle. Next stop: PCD

My car made it to the dealership late yesterday! The guy doing my clear bra happened to stop by the dealership and saw my car fresh off the truck and still wrapped up. Unfortunately, I won't get a chance to pick up the car until Saturday.

Good to hear your car is unscathed, AZ-BMW. Looks like we had no reason to worry. I'm sure the next couple of weeks will pass far too slow for you.

How did it go? You get the car? If so, stop driving it long enough to post some pics.
