Interesting....
36 Month – Residual 53% of MSRP – .00270 Base Rate for the coupe.

So the average 2009 M3 coupe is expected to be worth about $35,000 in 3 years? That's pretty steep.

Is that in line with past depreciation curves? That seems awfully steep. I would expect a $70k msrp M3 car to be closer to $50k in resale, but is that just wishful?

I wouldn't think that would be the case. I don't think you could buy out a lease at the end for the residual value. Could you??

trying to figure out CAP cost...

On an 08 M3 Coupe with an MSRP of $69,745 I've been quoted terms of $4000 down and $800 [including taxes] a month without the details on CAP cost and money factor. The only other info I have is that the residual is 51%. This on a 42 month lease with 10k miles.

I've seen reports of Money Factor now being .00025. If that's correct then it seems that I'd still be paying MSRP but I'm not sure I've calculated correctly.

Does my calculation sound correct?

Is this a "good deal"?
