Best way to Launch DCT. Please help.
I went to the drag strip Today and was slightly disappointed with my 13.51 @110.32 ET.
My problem was the awful 60ft time of 2.65 at best. I was using D5 with DSC off. If I mashed the throttle I just spun up. I tried gradually adding some gas to keep traction but it just seemed to bog down before jumping forward. Next I tried LC , The flag came up in the dash as it should, but when I revved the throttle it just kept revving to 7k without stopping at around 5k like it should have done. I let the shift lever go and nothing happened. Was the trans too hot perhaps? Surely there must be a way of getting a 2 second 60ft without using LC. Or is LC the only option for a good 60ft? Any tips on improving my times? |

Trial and error. It is very dependent on track prep as well. My recommendation would be figure out what you can consistently do on the street then go 500-1000 RPM higher on the track. I would think D modes will yield more consistent times or maybe throw in a short shift to 2nd???
