New wheels on order, best wheel treatment pre-mount?
I have a new set BBS e88 wheels are on order They should be arriving late next week. When they come in I'm trying to decide what type of wheel protection product, if any, should I put on the wheels before I have them mounted. The centers are clear coated but the barrels/lips are un-coated aluminum. Just looking to minimize water spots on the lips and to make cleaning the wheels easier. Any suggestions?

My work wheels are a similar composition so I was careful to find a product that wouldn't harm the uncoated barrels.
Put two coats of wheel guard max coat by CG, works good not great. Definitely speeds up the cleaning process. Product description says 8months of protection, not the case by a long shot. Plan to reapply monthly until I run out then I will most likely do some sort of nano coating. So long story short I went with a wax and sealant product, and wish I would've just done the nano coating. |

Thanks. I tried to Google the topic and couldn't find anything for the uncoated barrels. Will look into Cquartz

As others have said, a product like Cquartz or Modesta. I had the wheel face + barrel coated along with my Brembo calipers. I don't think they stay any cleaner, but there's a lot less scrubbing to clean them now. The barrel in particular is nice because now I can quickly clean it with a long brush. No more scrubbing and noticing spots I should've done twice after the fact.
