PPI suggestion in Bay Area
Hey guys, I think I finally found my e92 M3. I will be driving up to the bay area next week. I went in to my local BMW in Murrieta and they were very helpful and offered to pull up the service maintenance as well as the carfax. Upon looking everything clears through, only maintenance done were simple services such as oil and recalls. Only alarming thing is that there were 5 owners all which had for a short time. Keep in mind car has low miles 48k. The guy at BMW said that there is a dealership in the bay area that is a sister store and could call a friend to setup and take care of me for a PPI. Has anyone done a PPI at East Bay BMW in Pleasanton or should I go to an Indy shop to have the inspection done. I've seen older threads suggesting to go to German Motor Sports, Bavarian Motorsports, Edge Motorwerks and Performance Technics. The reason why I am asking as these threads were older and I know service and quality can change in 3-5 years. I appreciate all the help!

For the past 3 Ms that I’ve sold, I’ve suggested to my buyers to have the PPI done at Edge or Ptech. Buyers were satisfied with the findings and results which led to a sold car. Both of these shops used to be in Dublin and very close to East Bay BMW. I have not experienced service at East Bay BMW and I would think it would be just as good.
Just recently, Edge in Dublin has closed down and their other shop in Mountain View still open. Ptech had moved to Fremont. Good luck.

Did mine at ptech, although some recent shop changes after they split, so there are a few good options now.
As mentioned, edge in Dublin closed. Still MV option. East bay BMW is good for warranty service. Not sure I would pay for anything out of pocket there, but service seems to be good. |
