Buying an Epic Tune via Bimmerworld

Placed an order for an epic tune through their site, and I have a request to send pictures of my car. Does anyone know what this is for?

EPA compliance. Lots of BW parts require the car to be a race car build (trailered) to do anything that impacts emissions components, hardware or software. Probably won’t let Epic do a stage 2 tune for example.

I had a feeling. I’m going to test out some photos to see if it works. In my defense I’ve had the car for 4 months so haven’t gotten that far with my build yet lol, but track season is in a month.

I was going to, but the website hasn’t been working properly and I am unable to add the tune to my cart. If BW doesn’t work out I’ll just email Randy again to see if he can get it working.

Ah, gotcha. I bought a tune from Randy a few months back and he was very communicative. Hope it all works out for ya.

Bimmerworld did cancel my order. Emailed Randy about the site and he shipped out my cable out in 30 minutes, then sent an invoice. His Communication is great!

Randy's excellent to deal directly with.
I've done 3 cars with his tunes now.

BW is also great, but there's really no reason to deal with them to get an EPIC tune.

yeah even if you sent them pics of a half gutted car with a roll cage, it wouldn't count for bimmerworld. it has to be a literal race car. on trailer. with maybe documents proving it's non-op for track use only. lol.

Randy is great though, glad you got it sorted.

I threw my HPDE numbers on early to try and take the pics lol. Glad I found a BW x pipe used, there’s no way I’d be able to secure one from them.

Tried several browsers. After emailing Randy he just mailed my tuning cable right away and has been very communicative. Should be here tomorrow.
