2nd Annual Tail of the Dragon run 2018

Ok guys, few more days and we will be tearing up the asphalt on the tail! Lunch will be at 12:30 on Saturday at the hub! They are expecting us. Also I am working on trying to get killboy to open up shop for us on Saturday morning. They are located at deals gap across the street from our meet up point Saturday morning. They have a lot of dragon memorabilia, stickers, shirts, signs, etc.

I will have a couple 5 gallon jugs of 93 octane on my car trailer just in case someone runs low or out of fuel. Please make sure to fill your tank though before we all meet. When we go to lunch there are gas stations near the hub, so anyone can fill up after lunch if needed.

I will be arriving to Fontana village around 2:30-3 on Friday afternoon and plan to unload the car and make a quick run on the tail if anyone wants to join send me a pm.

I look forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

I’ve stayed at both places, prefer Tapoco for the ambiance and convenience. It’s not suited for large groups. The other nice thing is it’s close so I can drop off the wife or kiddo when they get carsick and be back on the Tail in 5 minutes.

Lol no payment. The clearcoat is empty so I'll bring my clearcoat. We can touch up there then use mine. You can keep the paint after.

The rain has moved out of the area and it is to be cloudy today and the clouds will be opening up to sun tomorrow. We're going to have a good weekend ahead of us!

KevinGS & I arriving in Roanoke last night. We beat the storm and are ready for our run down the Blue Ridge Parkway tomorrow and meeting up at Fontana Friday night. Looking forward to the Tail on Saturday.

Yes, the same on this side of the mountains. The cold front is moving on and Saturday and Sunday are the nice days before the next cold front moves in early next week. I am hoping the Blue Ridge Parkway stays open and I can meet the NE group for the final leg of their drive into Fontana Village on Friday afternoon.

Bringing an extended leather glove box door, a full set of rubber E90 floor mats, and an OEM shifter with me. Would love for them to go to a needing home!

Sorry Boof! The sudden nasty sleet/snow on I95-S (which i thought was forecast to be more rain in the eastern NJ region) yesterday made me pull over a few times and I was forced to change my plans and stay at a friends place close by because driving was very tricky and dangerous on my summer tires.

Too late for me resume and catch up. So sorry, I have to back out.

Fontana was nice and did not charge me for the cancellations.

And forgive me, I don't plan to see this thread for a few days; upset because I was greatly looking fwd for this.
