to me it doesn't sound like rod bearing from a person who had rod bearing issue and replaced. but no one really knows the issue from a small ticking.

go get some oil analysis.
the whining noise sound like low power steering fluid. top it off or check the level.

Noise is back and worse than ever. Taking it into a new dealer this week to see what they say. Will keep you all advised.

Any update on the ticking? I had an oil change yesterday and noticed the same exact noise when I got home. I only hear it when the car is completely warm.

Dealer blamed it on something to do with the exhaust once again

Haha. Yeah, I'm not too concerned about it. It's just a little annoying which is why I'm inquiring if there's a remedy or explanation.

Next week it's going to another dealer where I know a few people who tend to be very through. Will keep everyone updated.

If it ends up being nothing that's great. But I would rather be safe than sorry. My line of work makes me very sensitive to noises that are not normal so this is going to bother me forever
our cars have a distinct straight gear whine from the cams, but unless the camera is adding a noise artifact, it doesn't sound like that. that sounds more like an alternator bearing.

All these videos sound like all of the other heat shield ticking videos to me...

My engine is brand new and even I get this similar ticking occasionally- typically when its 85 degrees or higher and the car has been heat soaking in traffic with the a/c on...

I would not worry about it..

Ok so why does this noise get very bad right after I do an oil change and gradually goes away the more I drive the car over a period of 2-3000 miles?

Correct. Any reasoning behind that? Changing it back to factory oil next week

Noise goes away after 3-4K miles are put on the oil. Changing back to factory stuff next oil change to verify that will still make it go away. I have taken it into 3 different dealerships and they all blame it on the exhaust manifolds which blows my mind as it gets worse after oil changes. What oil changes have to do with the exhaust manifolds... Beats me. And no my car didn't blow up he's just being the professional troll that he is.
