Longer cranks.
Started my m3 today for the first time in a few days. And noticed it cranked for longer. And also heard a squeak/ crunch noise once it started.
I assume it’s probably ignition coils, since I just replaced the spark plugs. And maybe the belt tensioner / idler pulley causing squeak? Sometimes while idling I’ll hear the motor making a clicking sound, then goes away, and then comes back again. Is this normal ? It sounds spark related for sure. I’m already regretting not doing my ignition coils when I replaced the plugs!! |

I have the exact same issue. It always take longer to crank up after a whole night or long weekends. But hot start is fine. I got my battery replace, but still the same so far.

I have similar issue, longer cranks on cold start with intermittent hesitation, then does fine. No issues with hot start. Battery is 4 yrs old. I feel this is fuel related! Pros... please comment! |
