Car is still being worked on for other things. So haven't been on the ground yet and driven.

I expect to no notice much difference in the steering because all we are changing is the pump. No change to the rack or any other components.

For the drive shaft it is power delivery that I expect to feel the difference. In that the power will get to the ground more efficiently

Had the car on track today.

The M24 Electric Power Steering performed as expected and did its job. No clean up after a long session and steering feel remained the same if not a tad better.

Carbon Drive Shaft also performed as expected with no issues or added noise or vibration.

I think the EPS is a great idea for people tracking the car and willing to drop the AC. Highly recommend both upgrades.

Do you have a pic of the AIM MXG mounted? I am interested in getting but was not sure if the large screen would be too big for our cars.

I am also debating if I do aero now or do that after I re-learn the car post track build. Do you feel the GT 4 splitter balances out the wing or is there more needed up front?

It fits perfectly in the OEM cluster spot.

Yes you will need a aero element up front to balance out the wing.

I say go for it in the aero it was a big difference maker.

got any pointers for installing the driveshaft? i'm thinking i can tackle this myself, but i haven't deconstructed the car that far yet. do you need to put in in neutral and have the rear wheels off the ground or anything to be able to rotate the diff? all i have are jack stands and race ramps. and i have the huge harbor freight jack stands, not the designer stands that plug into the oem jack bases...
i'm confident i can do it, i'm just a little intimidated after reading about "balancing bolts" or some crap like that.

I know we didn't need new "balanced" bolts we reused the ones that where there.

I don't know if you will have Enough room to do it with jack stands. I might be wrong. We have to lower the trans to get it in. I'm not sure if it needed to be in neutral or not.

Looks sweet. Are you going to do endurance racing or just looking for the ease of getting the car in the air at the track?

Right now just ease of getting the car in the air. With the cage going in makes sense to go ahead as later it would be more difficult to install.

I'm curious how you install the air jacks. Please share when you're putting them in.

Right where the floor meets the rear seat shelf and in the front fenders.

First, great build! Do you have any pictures showing the stripped interior? Did you remove all of the sound deadening or just all of the carpet/seats/trim/stereo? I saw the weight of the car with you in it. Any idea how much is attributable to stripping the interior. Just trying to determine what that will gain(or lose....) me in terms of weight. Thanks!

The stripped interior, I did not strip sound deadening, is at least 200 pounds if I had to guess. Maybe more. The front seats alone are 50-60 pounds each. There is a sticky on the forums that some one weighted everything.

The heater core which will come out of the car when the cage is put in also has some significant weight.

If you are still driving he car on the street I'm not sure if I would strip the interior. But yes it is significant to weight reduction on the car.
