should I be worry with rod bearing?

I have a 2011 August build E92 M3 DCT. Is there anything that I should be aware of? Car is out of warranty and 16700 miles on the clock. btw, my car is running very nicely with evolve stage 2 + Akra Evo

do you worry about getting cancer everyday????????send your oil in to blackstone have it checked out....after the oil is checked out go from there...i have a 08 that from what i believe was more prone....i track a few times a month and drive my M how its supposed to be driven...i used to worry about it from all the hype on the forums...but most the time all you hear is about the negative issues our cars have and not the pos.

not putting miles on your M3 because your scared of wearing it out is like not having sex with your girlfriend so she is more appealing to her next boyfriend....

DONT WORRY JUST HAVE THE OIL CHECKED OUT!!!!

How is a 2011 out of warranty already? It is a 4 year/50,000 mile warranty.

Actualy this question is not for you alone...we all have a S65 engine with the same rod bearing problem !
Maybe she can see the condition of our bearings so who knows ?

Blackstone Lab test your oil, if anything is way out of line (copper) then schedule a bearing replacement.

The 2011 bearings (702/703) do not contain copper. The OP might want to look for tin and aluminum instead. But it's unclear how much tin/aluminum to look for as a warning sign in these new bearings.

Yes, you should be terrified. Please sell me your vehicle at a hugely discounted price since I'll be assuming all the risk.

lol guys, My M3 was exported from Utah to Taiwan. BMW global warranty is only 2 years. From all the negative I read on the forum. It got me a little bit concerned since I want to drive this M as much as possible. Unfortunately 4 yrs / 50,000 miles doesn't work once the car goes oversea.

I would worry for sure. I will pay $5002 PLUS the shipping fee to California. It will blow up for sure if you don't do this within the next 100 miles
