DCT OR 6MT
I have my e90 m coming in next week it's a 6mt,I feel like DCT takes the fun out of driving and I'm not hitting the nurburg ring or anything just want something fast and I like manual. My friends are like dudes u should've got DCT it's better mind u they drive m5 , m6's ... I drove its col but I still love mt I mean ofcourse the DCT is a fast switch between gears but I'm not putting this car in the track so I'm ok with that ... What are u guys thoughts on this ?

Matter of personal choice. Drive both and see what feels better. What others are going to say really makes no difference as you the one who is going to be driving the car. I test drove both, E90 Manual and a E90 DCT and fell in love with the latter. I felt the manual was as notchy as my E46 and the clutch felt a little too light. The DCT was more suited to what I was looking for so that's what I ended up with.
Good Luck. |

Haha , this is gonna start a war again lol. I love my 6MT M3 and not going to change it with anything. Keep in mind DCT is faster and easier in traffic, but IMO it is not as much fun. Rev matching in a manual M3 is awesome.

I think the real question is not "DCT or MT". But is really "MT or DCT". Once the question is framed in this fashion the inevitable answer discloses itself.

It has been over a day since a thread on this was active. Wonder why there was such a delay? http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=790991 |
