Power steering leak
My power steering reservoir is leaking from the cap. I believe it is possible to replace just the gasket, but taking into consideration the car is already 12 years old it might make sense to replace the whole reservoir.
My car is 69k km (42k miles) and the fluid was replaced with 65k km 1.5 years ago. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance. |

did you notice it after a spirited drive? they are known to relieve pressure through the cap. if its doing this during normal driving, it might be time to replace the cap, but if you're having fun on a twisty road, its "normal" blowby and just zip tie a sock around it.

I believe the reservoir has a filter built in so replacing it is a good idea along with a fluid change.. but you're very low mileage so maybe not necessary at the moment, maybe just change the gasket on the cap and see it it helps for now.
