The reported numbers on this are amazing. I feel most car enthusiast really don't realize that a lot of parts they buy simply do not have that much R&D behind them these days.

With the mid-range numbers on this being so strong it would be interesting to see how the MRF X-pipe would perform with the Bimmerworld 4-1 headers. Although I think those headers require a proprietary x-pipe themselves so maybe thats not possible.

Always refreshing to see a true piece of mechanical art. I would purchase one of these in a heartbeat.

RESPECT!

No they didn't and Malek said he would never offer a version that did have cats.

I miss this exhaust a lot. The sounds and power were just intoxicating.

Any competent shop will fab these up. Don't know why people are holding out and willing to wait as long as they do.

That's true, a catted version is possible if the demand is high enough vs. the catless version.

It was pretty epic on your car, I miss the old setup.

You are missing the point here. There are regulations in the state of California that make this very difficult. Manufacturing is not what holds this back here. I can simply start manufacturing this unit tomorrow if need be.

Was your point that someone should take this system and copy it?

No I get it, I'm just saying it would be easier to just have a shop fab one up then wait for you to get the clearance to start building them. Any shop will build an off road x pipe as long as it is for "off road" use only and will not leave the shop on the car.

Any your piece is nice, but you didn't invent the wheel. It's an x pipe. Anyone can build one, without saying they're copying your style.

Wow. I think it's safe to say that this x-pipe "IN PARTICULAR" has been proven many times over to produce better gains than any on this forum, including the hack job you currently have for sale. If you read up on this x-pipe you will find that there are many, many hours of R&D behind it. I find it hard to believe that any other company, Dinan included, poured this much effort into R&D.

If this x-pipe was available I would have gladly paid retail price before paying $825 shipped for the Gintani variant with light cosmetic damage I just bought. Just sayin'

Interesting you mentioned the $825 Gintani variant, since I too was about to pull the trigger on that piece (had the first dibs), yet decided to hold out for the MRF version at the last paypal screen prior to transferring the money over to the seller (hovered over the submit button for a good 10 seconds).

Let's hope it sees the light of day.

Haha, yeah man, I second guessed it for a split second myself but decided to hedge my bets with the Gintani. For the asking price I couldn't pass up a sure thing.

The only notable difference is the location of the x further towards the front. As noted, any competent shop can build one of these. There are lots of parts that have yielded one exceptional dyno, like the pulley that adds 14 rwhp or the tune that adds 20 rwhp. I am sure this one is nicely fabricated since Malek has high standards and very good attention to detail.

You sound like a fool calling my x pipe a hack job? And you have a lot of nerve as I imagine you def couldn't make one hence why you'll wait forever for one. It is identical to nearly every other x pipe made and the only difference is the x section that is mounted in the stock location just like the oem pipe. It's not rocket science to build an x pipe. Put the merge wherever you like. People rave over Akra that has an x and h section and actually loses power. Do some more research before calling my parts junk. I have some of the best parts you can buy on my car and the sound it made was one of the best I've ever heard without any intrusive cabin noise/drone at all. Building x pipes is not a science. Unfortunately brand whores exist here it seems.
