Fyi I had the thermostat failure and codes at the same time. The oem thermostat or replacement is not that cheap the mahle is like 65 oem like 100+ for best prices.
QUOTE=JsL;21360141]Sometimes a bad themostat or coolant temp sensing can cause O2 faults. Are there any pending themostat or coolant temp faults? Does your engine oil take a long time to warm up in the morning? The oem themostat is 40 bucks and the oem coolant temp sensor is 30 bucks. It's 3 hours labor to change both. Might be worth a shot [/QUOTE] |

Thanks for the advise on the thermostat and coolant temp sensor but since I don't have these faults on the car. I hate to spend 3 hours changing them for nothing if they are not broke. I will keep your advice in mind.

I replaced the low fuel pressure sensor...!!! it did not work I can clear these current faults drive 0 miles to 100 miles or more. The moment I turn my car off and turn it back on the faults are there service engine soon, increased emissions. I think I am about done screwing around with these faults at the moment

I am curious about the OPs egr valve solution, though, as I have had the same sensor go out again myself. I cannot find a DIY to describe that work. |

P0037: HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low Bank 1 Sensor 2 P0057: HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low Bank 2 Sensor 2 P0030: HO2S Heater Control Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1 P0050: HO2S Heater Control Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1 These faults are no longer there. The new faults: 273F: DME Oxygen sensor final stage diagnosis heater before cat converter, bank 2 272C: DME Oxygen sensor, output-stage diagnosis heater behind cat bank 1 273E: DME Oxgen sensor final stage diagnosis heater before cat converter bank 1 272D: DME Oxygen sensor output-stage diagnosis heater behind cat bank 2 These new faults are not effecting the fuel mileage I can even clear this code and it stays gone until I turn the car off and then turn it back on the code is immediately there: service engine soon, increased emissions This is the crazy thing that is killing me that it is a heat control issue I don't know what is causing this fault. My Headers are not causing a heat issue the few other people I know with headers are not having this problem. No faults with the headers bro nothing is loose. What ever is causing the O2 sensor heat control has to be some type of sensor. It don't matter if the car is hot or cold this fault is getting on my last nerve at the moment

Those are the same faults. Check the sticky thread for mapping of BMW faults to OBD codes. Those are the same issue. I doubt that you would have broken all 4 sensors on install, so I would look for a cause elsewhere in the system. Do you have modified code installed to compensate for the lack of primary cats? Could that have set out of range heat sensor checks that will always fail? |

Check for exhaust leaks. I had similar codes thrown and the header/exhaust area was loose. Tightened it back up and codes stopped popping up. Check your gaskets they might be loose/melted. I had to replace both of them.

This may sound dumb.....but I had some misfiring error codes like yours above and it was my spark plugs. Replaced all 8 and everything is fine now.

Apprently my secondary bank two o2 sensor is not getting any signal anymore, they're gonna replace it but they're thinking there's a reason why it keeps dying. Any ideas?

I had a coil die after exhaust install now I'm getting misfiring codes for 3 and 5 even when I move coils around still says 3 and 5 are misfiring my plugs are new as well and I'm getting pissed off 😤 Would the ground straps on the exhaust have anything to do with it?
