Been thinking of selling/trade/bartering/package deal for either or both M3's: My plan is to get back into a manual. 2011 E92 ZCP DCT Mineral White 105k Miles 2011 E93 DCT Space Gray 88k Miles Both have stage 2 tunes and GTS DCT tunes. I'll start proper for sale threads moving forward. Considering X5 trades on the E92 and or E93. Last edited by BOOF-M3; 06-12-2018 at 10:33 PM.. |

Lol no. But I did drive a buddies 6MT and although I felt it to be lacking... Which another buddy who owns a DCT drove it and said the same thing about it lacking, I do miss manual. When I was originally looking at M3's I only test drove manuals. I watched a kid who had 50k miles on his car grind 3rd gear several times trying to impress me with its "smooth" shifts. For some reason he was having a hard time finding third when shifting quickly. That was one of the reasons that I even thought about trying out DCT.

Someone get Mark into a manual! The DCT is phenomenal, especially when you compare it across other brands' dual clutch offerings. Plus you get a much broader powerband and better gearing. The S65 really loves the DCT.

Are you willing to split? I’m only interested in the front half of one for a project I’m working on

If you can get someone to take the other half I'm ok with splitting the car up. But I draw the line on cutting it down the middle. There has to be a complete front and rear. Not half a front & rear twice.

Exactly. That urge for manual is strong. Even though it is lacking.

Idc about the rear or any other parts that’s your problem. I only want the front half so I can finish building my M3 Chariot, if you know a guy selling 4 horses that’d be great too

Yeah, Welcome to the 'Looking for a ZCP / MT/ with decent miles' club! There are about 10 of us on the west coast. Perhaps you being on the east coast will provide you better luck than me... After I factor in the $500-600 for a flight and 1k plus for shipping (and that's just for open carry shipping)this prices me out of my mid 30's budget for a good example under 40-50k miles I've seen more often lately over thereon the east coast.
But I will continue my search and skip past the (what seems like) more plentiful and slightly more affordable DCT's.. why? Cause 6MT! |

FYI I have a very good shipper if you need. She doesn't ask for any money up front. Pay when car is delivered and she is typically a bit cheaper also. |

One thing for me when it comes to miles which doesn't equate to a house is interior for me. As far as miles on the motor are concerned, I would actually prefer a less expensive M car with 50-80k miles this way I would be just fine with the $2K rod bearing job since I paid less and now have more cash for the job. For me, it's the interior that wears irreversibly. Bolsters, carpet.. Especially if you get a Fox red or one of the other non-black leathers. Try and match the other leathers of your interior while you replace your drivers seat from 100K-150+ miles M is not something I want to do. And when interior seats come up for sale like Fox red, it's rare and they too go fast, House? Older the better. Character. pull out the knob and tube wiring. re-wire becomes new. Car interiors is not the same.
