New to me E90 M3 Charged Questions
Just picked up a VF Charged M3 with an ESS Full Exhaust with High Flow Cats and Resonators and I was wondering which should I remove for a bit more sound and If I Remove the Hi-Flow Cats will there be an issue..Also the car came from Cali 91oct To the North East 93oct is there any adjustments needed?

Well, do not go to the track with a supercharger and HFCs in the primary position like the ESS xpipe has. You will lose the engine
Removing the hfcs is a good way to get more sound Your tune should self adapt to 93 without issues |

If you're not going to track it you should be fine. I would still remove them. Safer and you'll get a lot more sound |

Congrats on the car!
Before i offer my advice, i need to ask, what is your emissions testing like in CT (saw it in your bio). If you are simply looking for more sound, buy a NON VALVED cat back system, or simply remove the resonators. If emissions testing is not a concern where you live, get rid of the cats. Forced induction cars arent really meant to have cats, as they will literally melt under prolonged use. |

The primary position aftermarket cats have failed in two engines on the forum.
In the case of my engine it took it out. A blown engine is very expensive to replace. If you search for threads started by me you can see the entire teardown after it blew |

Track use is much harder on a motor. Much more heat. I agree with SYT that tracking a supercharged car long term with full cats is risky. If it’s only 2 aftermarket metal substrate cats in the rear position, it’s probably fine.
ESS sells kits that are OK for catted cars. It’s only for the highest power kits that they do not recommend cats. |

Yes I was just looking for more sound actually and I believe they’re secondary and then the resonators..Not Really worried about the power as I’ve Pulled on the New m5 as is so it’s just sound for me... As far as emissions I have 2yrs to remedy it...
