Nightmare install with ECS Shifter Rebuild Kit
Hi all,
Having a nightmare time with my M3. Purchased a shifter refresh kit from ECS and I’m trying to replace part number 5, the rear main bushing. The frame of the car has 2 male tabs that are supposed to hold the bushing in place, and the bushing has 2 female indents to hold it. I cannot get it in with a prybar and flat head. Any ideas? Thank you! |

I engage one side of it then stick a long flathead into the other groove and a good strike with a mini sledge and that usually does it.

I was installing one of these on an e60 m5 not that long ago and it 1000% would not fit. Return it, buy an oem and fill it with some window weld.
