Yowza. I have an older Land Cruiser that is in great condition. An oil pan leak has generated a bit of a mess underneath over time. If I could get someone to get underneath it and clean off the gunk, man on man it would be pretty. Sub $1k and I'm in.
I see you're in FL. Could always call and get a quick quote.

Florida is a big state but good point, I’ll at least try to get an idea.

Joking aside, I’m probably closer to Greenville than I am their location in Florida. The conversation piqued my interest as we will likely be relocating to the Upstate SC region next year. I miss access to elevation and colder winters being from North Georgia - plus gives me an excuse for another M car!

If you have access to a lift, I would DIY using degreaser, brushes, and towels. A few years ago I sold my E39 M5 I had owned for 14 years on BaT, and in prep for the sale I did a full undercarriage cleaning. The car had 66k miles on it, but it was rarely ever driven in rain, never in snow, but the accumulation of dirt over 66k miles still took a couple of hours on the lift to clean. I wore a Tyvek suit and goggles. Here's a couple of pic links (didn't embed them since they are so large and this forum isn't resizing them):

Wow, that's an amazing result to have been done manually without pressure washing or dry ice cleaning!

I don't have access to a lift but it's good news to see alternative methods exist and are successful.

For engine bay cleaning, I believe there is some correlation between getting the Throttle Bodies wet and them going south.. But I'm sure there'll be people who may not agree or have noticed that. Hence, any engine bay cleaning I do would be low pressure with the T.B.s protected.

Whoops, meant to paste this link also instead of double posting the same link:

https://bringatrailer.com/wp-content...it=2048%2C1365

I used only hose pressure to wash things off, but it was full hot water which I think really helped things along when I had to go over some spots multiple times.

Larry does a sort of comparison between dry ice blasting and traditional degreasing/scrubbing in this video that might be of interest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXK2QFDDfA0

I'm planning on being there as well on Saturday (with my E92 M3) to meet some friends and also contemplating attending some of the MX1 Friday events.

Sounds good! What is actually going on at the CCA Foundation museum on Friday? I didn't get a good understanding from the CCA published schedule. Is the foundation having a semi-open M car display? Food trucks I think too.

Yes, I believe you're right. It's a teaser of the "making" of their new Heritage Center museum display. A food truck is there around lunchtime as well as a car wash.

I wasn't sure where to post this information so Greenville SC locals and even Southeast folks might see it. Sorry to ATLIEN for the

I recently had to flash my car back to stock. In order to do that I engaged the services of a Greenville SC BMW Software Tuning company called 'Renovelo". Schall Motorsports actually did the work using Renovelo's tools and files. Everything was done flawlessly. Here's a link to their website. IF you're thinking about extracting more horsepower from the S65 V8 M3 engine OR adding a blower, bigger injectors, turbos, or just going back to stock as I did after removing my Harrop blower, I can recommend Renovelo as experts in this area of tech.

If anybody local might be interested, I'm representing my daughter's 2003 Imola Red 330i ZHP 6MT slicktop on carsandbids. The auction just went live today, and it's no reserve. I owned the car from 2005 until 2012 when she bought it, and it's lived in Greenville since 2012. I've had it here the past few weeks getting it ready to sell, doing some maintenance and repair work. I love this car. It's in the garage with the M2C and E90 M3 (all 6MT slicktops!) right now, and it would be ideal to buy it back from her and keep it. If we hadn't been downsizing in retirement the past few years, I'd definitely be doing so.

https://carsandbids.com/auctions/rb1...330i-zhp-sedan

Speaking of downsizing, we're planning on selling the E91 and also the E90 M3. The E91 can go, but I've had the E90 M3 for 11 years, it only has 41k miles, garaged 24/7, in rain maybe 3 or 4 times, presents as almost a new car in person. The thought of selling it is very hard (harder than my pristine E39 M5 sale even) but our goal is to get down to two cars which means keeping the M2C and probably buying an X3M or X4M. If this Carsandbids auction goes ok, I may consider that venue for the M3 too. I sold my E39 M5 on BaT five years ago but am trying out CandB now.
