Oh Buy, Im a little worried about this one... Has anyone used this in the active hybrids? I dont want my car to trun off at every stop light, and then rev up when I want to go again. Does anyone know if this function can be deactivated? CF parts - Meh... D |

If I were buying a new M3, this would be it. Since I already have one, I'm going to atleast pick up that rear spoiler, its very nicely done!

I wonder if the front splitters are merely two carbon pieces placed on top of the old bumper or if this is an entirely new bumper to incorporate end pieces? I kinda like it, however, I feel that the middle of the bumper doesn't come down low enough so it seems somewhat out of proportion from an aesthetic point of view.
I like the spoiler except for that hole in the center rear. If its effective, than I'd definitely get one and probably paint it white. I look forward to some more detailed pics.

What is the color? Isn't it Frozen Blue, based on the color of LeMans Blue Metallic?
If not there are still some things I do not like about the M3 LCI: -No lightweight front seats (BMW Performance) -No sport exhaust (BMW Performance/ M3 GTS) -No carbon airbox (BMW Performance/Motorsport) -No Alcantara -No LED blinkers and corona rings |

From the press release, it seems that the CF splitters and spoiler are not part of the Competition Package but are available a la carte thru BMW accessories. I am actually digging them, particularly the spoiler. I will have to see how the Sedan version looks like but I could see those in my future.
As for the Stop/Start function, I doubt the US M3's will have that feature. Stop/Start has been available on a bunch of BMW models in other markets for a while now and these markets are used to it, consequently more inclined to accept it on the M3. I cannot imagine that BMW USA would decide to introduce this new-to-Americans technology on the M3. Just like other markets have brake regenerations on the M3 and we don't...

Honestly, not as impressed as with the E46 Performance Package. The splitters and spoiler don't look original and they sure don't flow well with the shape of the car as good as other aftermarket ones. Also, those wheels are outdated and the 328i Sport has pretty much the same ones almost.

I have heard all too many complaints about the brakes beginning to fade after several hot laps, in many differnet publications. I all around love the M3, but come on!
If we can get multi-piece/piston calipers in a 135i with added options, they should come standard on an M3 ZCP! Where is this upgrade here??? I could care less about carbon fiber splitters, and "new desig" wheel! This is more like the M3 AESTHETICS package! |
