Yes I saw the photo. WPC treated are OEM bearings with a treatment done to them, so they will not have any other stampings, hence my comment. VAC also used to take OEM bearings and just get them coated in the early days, but adding a coating to an OEM bearing decreased clearance.

It's not a BMW stamp, it just happens to be a circle with something in the middle. I believe it's the Glyco logo, the manufacture of the 702/703 bearings and were on all of the later bearings i've seen.

Could be that, you think they were coated or completely different? Doesn't make a difference since they are replaced, just curious

I was actually able to get in contact with original owner! No replacement or service ever done to Rod Bearings so these are original and not coated.

Interesting, all OEM 702/703 bearings I've seen are silver except when WPF or coated.

Was there a gap in ownership?

I have full vehicle history, original owner picked it up new, put 1200 miles on it in first 10 days, then owned it until June 2022, which I picked it up in August 2022. Owner said no rod bearings were done because car was too low mileage in his possession. Unless it was done while it hopped from dealer to auction to dealer, which I doubt, these have to be stock.
