Not a bad car; I wonder how this is going to do at $39,995 with the package that includes the sunroof.

The bottom edge of the boot looks weird. Not an ugly car.

If I was a family guy who still needed some fun for a decent tab, maybe.

4361 lbs. Argh. But alot of ponies are hiding under there.

1. Just from those few pics, I think it's quite ugly.

2. Similar numbers as a stock 335i, and it's F/I tt, so definitely some tuning possibilities by raising the boost, etc.

3. I think this new Taurus SHO will give some headaches to the Chrysler SRT-8's (just as our tuned BMW's do, he he).

4. Curb weight 4361 lb...OMG, it's a real heavy pig!

Damm i guess im the only one that thinks its very impressive. I think the exterior looks pretty good and the interior looks fantastic. Im assuming its based off the Lincoln MKZ which is a great car itself. With the ecoboost engine, the new taurus is really a car to be reckoned with IMO. 40k is pretty steep though...

Acura-esque head lights, M3 style side vents, abundance of chromed plastic, all shaped like a Subaru... I mean whats not to like?

At least the inside looks pretty plush.

It's a full size car. Weighs barely more than my 740iL, and has similar interior room (including a huge rear passenger area) and is quicker.

We dont' live in 1970 anymore. Even "tiny" cars weigh over 3000 lbs. I mean, BMW can't seem to get it's SMALLEST car to weigh less than my old big block musclecars...

Rather go out and get a G8 GT. Hell at that price, give me a GXP. Just too bad they are killing it with no plans of revival as an Impala.

You guys seen this? http://www.stangtv.com/forum/2010-ta...-13s-5955.html The SHO running almost 12 seconds in the quarter mile with a simple tune and no bolt ons. This may turn into a 11 second car.

This is the reality of modern crash standards.

The SHO is a big car, and it's damn fast for the money. We had a Ford engineer here the other day in one. I didn't get a chance to ride in it, but the interior was pretty well put together, and well laid out. It's still not on par with the luxury market, but it's as good or better than most of the stuff in its price range.

Ford's got a pretty decent mainstream lineup these days, and the sales numbers are showing it.

Could be a nice daily driver, big, comfortable, but with enough power to keep you from being bored. Not sure I'd pick this is a platform to modify with more than a tune though.

I saw the SHO at the Detroit International Auto Show in Jan 2009, it's more impressive in person than these pictures. IMHO.
