PDC does have front sensors on the bumper. I think there are four of them.

Front PDC sensors weren't an option for US E9x M3s.

A number of people have done a retrofit though.

Congrats on the car. Love the color.

Yep, front was not a factory option in US on e92 M3.

Not saying anything about outside US, just that it 100% was not an option for US cars.

Looks like the front bumper was swapped for a Euro Spec bumper and Dinan exhaust!

Nice!

Only in Europe. Us spec only comes with rear pdc.

Looks absolutely gorgeous! I wouldn't dismiss a bumper replacement on an otherwise creampuff of a car, especially in a spec that's tough to find.

I tried watching his videos but his videos are just way too long. I feel like there's too much unnecessary information and I just lose interest shortly through the video. The video length needs to be shortened and edited more, and information needs to be condensed more, maybe a 10 minute(or less) video rather than 20, 30, or 40 minutes.

A good example of this is AMMO NYC, he keeps video lengths manageable, structures his videos well where the information is presented clearly and I don't have to sit through many minutes of rambling of unimportant/irrelevant information.

Fun video. Cool car, Enjoyed the kids comments.

My only suggestion - put the M3 in the bubble and leave the VW outside

I wish I was clever enough to tease the idea of getting a car that I already had locked down, but that's not how this went. I was toying with the idea of selling my Raptor for another E92. I shared these thoughts publicly. It's fascinating that no matter how transparent I am, people always think there is some secret agenda.

There isn't any current car outside of an E63S that I was considering. Buying one for $130,000 and selling it a few years later for 50% of that doesn't seem like a smart move. Since I quit my job to make YouTube videos, I need be a little more conservative.

My old M3 was Le Mans Blue, Comp Package, Manual Seats, No Nav, No PDC, Leather Seats car. The main reason I did that back in 2010 when I ordered the car was to keep the cost down. Now it seems to be the car most of us would want. I threw it out there in video and on the OG Facebook group that I was looking for a car as close to my original one as possible.

That lead to quite a few rather obsessed people searching for the car at the same time as me. The one I bought showed up on True Car. I called on hour or two after the dealer posted it. The car has a euro front bumper and had paint work done. I almost dismissed it. Supposedly it was backed into in a parking lot, so it has an accident reported in it's history.

My friend Mike flew to LA from SF the next morning to vet the car. He is just as particular as me, and it was more than acceptable. I bought it that morning less than 24 hours after they listed it. I was looking at 5,000 mile $70,000ish cars, but I think this is smarter move. I intend to drive this thing. It's a 2013, 32,000 Miles, $43,000.

Here is the spec. I don't like that it has PDC, but it appears the front bumper has been coded out.

I posted a photo on Instagram that I found the car and bought it. Then the emails started for the Raptor. I posted a photo and price and sold the Raptor for $65,000 in about an hour.

So that's the story. Now the wait for the E92 begins. I overnighted the paperwork back yesterday and scheduled Reliable Carriers to ship it across the country. 1-6 week estimate... I guess you have to wait for the best.

I'll probably do exhaust first. Macht Schnell catless mid-pipe and Eisenmann Black Sport w/ BPM Sport Tune. I'm going to force myself to take it one thing at a time and try to enjoy the process.
Congrats Matt! S65 is a jewel! Juanma

'Do you like the car?' 'I dont know, wheels are all jacked up, tires are wrong, exhaust isn't right..' 'I'm going to try and enjoy the modding process'.

Such a strange attitude, you just got a perfectly specced M3 it shouldn't be hard to be enthused. I really want to like your content and applaud the effort, but you seem to focus on all the negatives for no reason.

I don't think it's focusing on the negatives, moreso mentioning all the things he wants addressed before he can consider it 'perfect for him' or 'dailed in' as he would call it. Nothing wrong with having high standards imo.

Should we try convincing him to do the rod bearings on it since he plans to supercharge it?

The people who subscribe to his channel like the long drawn-out videos. It feels like hanging out in the garage with your buddy. He's not trying to emulate what any other channel is doing and that's what makes it unique. It's certainly not for everyone but he found his niche and is doing very well with it.

Not strange at all if you know his personality from watching some of his videos. He's very particular about things and usually not overly enthusiastic.

I have watched a lot of his videos (Mustang, GT3, S200, F80 M3, mountain drives etc), which is why I am qualified to make the comment. My point is take a step back, enjoy the journey...

Very rare to find decent content.
I agree with you... they're super annoying and if you've seen them in person, pretty stuck up assholes (vehicle virgins more than salomondrin).

I spoke to Shmee briefly while I was at the Nurburgring. He seems pretty chill but no where as outgoing and cheerful as he is in his video.

They live such a different life than the majority of people. If you aren't a part of their world of social media millionaire $$ status, they don't want to associate with you. And to live the kind of lifestyle they have, you have to be very rich and young.

Joeknowsbest has some punchy editing combined with soundtrack, but SavageGeese is equally good I would say. Checkout his latest Dodge Demon review. Cars with Luke has some quality output as well. Joe Achilles has put out a couple of very well edited videos recently (the F80 M3 CS one in particular). There are a lot of great youtubers at the moment, I don't bother with the crap like Shmee, Salamondrin etc.

Lately, I've been watching Adam LZ. Maybe it's because I used to run Japanese engine swapped cars and played in this field of modded cars... I find his build videos are pretty informative. They show step by step how they build engines and set up the cars to go fast. They also have some fun videos where him and his wife traveled around Japan and went drifting with the locals.

I agree SavageGeese has good car reviews... but he's boring to watch most of the time. Unless you are very interested in a particular car, it's a little too much detail for most people. I'd also like his reviews more if he tracked the cars he reviews. There's only so much you can do on the street.

SG is very good I agree. For some reason I have a hard time watching car reviews with personalities like that. Unfortunately him and Doug Demouro annoy the hell out of me but have the most extensive content. I will certainly check out the others thank you!

I have a hard time with this one. I just hired an editor to help me create more curated content. When watching back I find everything I have to say as interesting. Most of the people that make YouTube videos can't have a discussion. If you watch they are chopped up from sentence to sentence. I don't like watching that. I didn't start out to make entertaining videos. It was simply an outlet to get out of my own head and help me deal with my obsessive compulsive disorder. Allowing others into my life has completely changed it. I don't want to veer too far from what works.
