What I would do to have that car. The biggest gripe was the lack of overall grunt in the normal Caymans and now it has been changed.

In some ways I feel this could be a better platform that the GT3 imo.

I'm really curious about how the Cayman GT4 compares to 911 GT3 in terms of performance.

In my own opinion is that the new GT4 will send current GT3 owners to buy a brand new GT3 RS.

Bet it's very close to the 997 GT3, not 991.

Wonder about the source of those lap times. Harris ran a 2:03.02 in the 991 in his car of the year vid. GT4 is a 1/2 second faster than that, with a passenger? Rohrl or not, that would be crazy.

Ah, this one

Can't believe the GT4 runs the 991 that close. Especially around what looks to be a pretty wide open circuit. Want to drive it.

Im impressed as well. It looks like a fast circuit which you think would really play into the hands of the faster 991 GT3, not to mention its immense levels of grip.

Epic. This would hands down by my car of choice if I had this kind of a budget. Love seeing the MT in action.

Having said that, I'm still excited to see the BMW M2. I hope it gets even half the enthusiasm this car is getting

Porsche is reported already working on the Cayman GT4 RS. So it's 911 GT3 > Cayman GT4 RS > Cayman GT4? They are slicing the market pretty thin

They'll sell every last one of them. Especially with the threat of turbos around the corner. I know they said GT cars will remain NA, but we'll see how long that lasts.

P.S. I'm trying really hard to test drive a Z4MC this weekend. Always been curious what they are like.

Wow! That's very interesting. I wonder what they have in mind for the GT4 RS? Perhaps PDK?

Is Porsche only want PDK in GT3?
Maybe GT4 RS come with a bigger engine and manual gear box?

I hope you like it. I love mine. It's more raw compared to the M3. It's expected so since it sacrifices practicality for sportiness. The handling is great. With a few simple suspension mods the car can be huge fun. Even in stock form it doesn't disappoint. You seat right in front of the rear wheels and can get a great feel of what's going on. It also has an amazing owner community just like each generation of M3. The aftermarket support is actually very good considering how low production that car is.

One further plus side of Z4M is that its depreciation has practically stopped. I purchased mine with a couple of thousand miles on the clock in 2008. 7 years later today, the going price is about the same with 30K miles on the clock. My car is low miles but I drive it probably twice as hard as the average owner. haha. It's a solid car with a power plant that's well understood. I highly recommend it.
