Round jack into rectangular points

Completely newbie question here..

So I wanted to jack up the car at the basic jacking points just behind the front wheels in order to remove the wheel. However, my trusty floor jack has a round support point whereas the M3 jacking points seem to be rectangular.

As I raise the jack the edge of its round support catches the edge of the rectangle, which seems the wrong thing to do.

Am I missing the point (sorry)? Or do I need to get a different jack or some kind of adapter piece?

Any pointers welcome...

For $10, go to a sports authority or something and grab a sack of hockey pucks. Works the same way

+1 My special tool did not arrive in time so I went the hockey puck route.
Works perfectly fine, secure if the jack is correctly positioned, and no visible damage to the bracket!
