He's a dedicated man. He's got that fire inside him. If he started on karts as a kid, I have no doubt he would be a pro and we'd be watching him race on tv.

i think i might be done for the season... getting my car detailed tuesday for the HRE show.
maybe i'll sneak up to laguna seca in the summer if i can find a date that works well.

I'll probably be there but its a bit far from now to be sure haha. I have my eye on Laguna Seca June 14-15 so may be making a trip up there then. If not then I'll be at Speed District's Buttonwillow date on June 24. Sad to hear the season may be over for you, totally understandable though because its about to start getting blisteringly hot. This was my first season tracking so I think I'm hungry enough to persist through the summer, just might need to invest in a cool suit.

Just got back from Bimmerfest/ACS track day. I had a fantastic weekend - made quite a few personal bests, and more importantly, I felt more in tune with my car than ever before. Everything went perfect the second day - the weather was 60 degrees in the morning, the car went exactly where I wanted to go - I felt like I was in total control. Perfect storm - well, except for that one spin out.

Not really a spin so much as a failed turn 9 - car went too sideways - 70 degrees. Couldn't recover it so just stopped on the track, lmao. No one behind me so I just got going again - however, this put a target on my back for the rest of the day.

I then discovered why certain people got black flagged for drifting - the track officials were the one dropping the black flag. I got black flagged twice for "drifting" today - drifting being the back was breaking loose. If you were unlucky enough to get caught by this roving old man in a red fire suit, your ass was toast. I get it though - this was Bimmerfest and they didn't want a "racing incident" to occur.

This really sucked though - having to not even get close to the edge of traction meant I was at least 2 seconds slower for the rest of the event. My car just wants to go sideways through turns 6 and 9.

Was great meeting you all again, and seeing some new faces - was great to chat with you Longboarder!
