i like the idea of jackpoint, but the price is absolutely nuts. if you can already get the car on jackstands, what is your goal with a new process? easier? quicker? both?

Yes both. You can’t do the same process with normal jackstands and so I would compare these more to a quick jack in terms of function. Cheaper and more portable than a quickjack.

Used the dual floor jack and and Esco stands for years. Managing the Zebulon splitter and accessing to the front and then slowly raising the front and rear incrementally to get 20+ inches of height was ok. I had it reasonably quick. Quick Jacks was a game changer. Can’t recommend them enough. Although use adequate thread locker on the setup before running hydrolics. They’ll leak otherwise…

So I developed a metal on metal sound from the rear end and crawled underneath. Here’s what I found (pic attached).
I recently had the rear hubs replaced and bearings replaced. To be clear, the bolts backed themselves out which would make me think they were not torqued properly. I’ve driven over 1000 miles since the work was done and the noise just developed. Any thoughts here? Lots of grease slung around. Is this as simple as replacing the missing bolt, torquing everything and calling it good? Or is there more to worry about here. By the way the noise is the little metal piece swinging around and hitting the hard brake line.

relatively soon... we've met some financial goals and i'm going to get to spend some money on the car and return to the track soon.
some things on the list; -install full p4p window set -install lsd unit -get wiring thinned -install harness after wire thinning -programming to get rid of all the dash lights (airbags, tpms, pdc sensor warning). -rebalance car with some minor suspension changes so relatively minor stuff. other, less expensive or free planned things; further lighten up hood by adding speed holes to under-hood moulding and structure, take apart side mirrors and lighten them up appropriately, some kind of front brake ducting, and i want to take a look at the fan mount and see if it could use a few holes. sort of a wish list item is an aftermarket steering wheel to get rid of the airbag and be able to manually activate the DRS and airbrake... i really just want to wiggle it for the boys though.

Me too. I've triple checked every link and subframe bolts and replaced the rear anti-rattle clips for the calipers. Still get a clunk that I can't figure out. I never had the CV's off when I did the subframe mounts though, but will check anyway. Only the diff input.

Making the case for uprated rear trailing arms. Pics from my friend's track car. Not due to any accident.
