What does your door weather stripping look like?

I recently got this e92 m3 2011 but I think there’s something odd with my weather stripping. Also it wasn’t on properly. I think I routed it properly now. One portion went under the rubber for the shadow trim. This is what it looks like but there’s a big crease I can’t get out. This is on both sides. Just wondering if it’s normal or not

Looks terrible, sell it!

Heat it up (lightly) and see if you can kind of bend/mold it back to shape. Probably need to replace it though.

I’ve tried blowing hot steam at it and still same thing. I also tried using a reconditioned for rubber seals but still same thing. It does seem a little more pliable but just goes back to that shape

Someone has "slimjimmed" it open. The tools can do that to the rubber.

Just get new rubber, it's not expensive.

I suspect rod bearings judging by the photo.

Just got them done! 173k km.
The guy that did them said that they’re in pretty good shape compared to the ones he usually does.

Finally go this sorted.
All along I was under the impression that the rubber piece from the shadow molding tucked into it but the issue was that the driver and passenger side were reversed. Meaning the driver side rubber was on the passenger side and passenger side on the driver side.
Swapped them and tucked the thicker part into the window cover for the rear window and bam everything started to fit properly and the crease is no longer there.

Wow. Who screwed that up.

Good spot though to fix that
