So far, we have managed to do the following:
1) Valet key - Have one of your keys dedicated to Valet use. Power will be limited and there will be no way to change modes
2) Sport Plus Mode and Servotronic Adjustable steering for non I-Drive and non M-Drive cars
3) Shift lights for Manual Cars
4) Coolant Temperature cluster display
5) Engaging Neutral for DCT cars when both shift paddles are pulled simultaneously
6) Starting Mode Change for Traction control and DCT shift aggressiveness (such as starting car with MDM defaulting to on, Shift level 4 - any combination) / or M-Drive Defaults on
7) Switch software/maps with your phone. 100 Octane Map/E85 etc..

Phone/app control of these functions planned. As well as being able to control windows, mirrors, etc.

This is just the starting point. Ultimately the plan is also to implement remote services/telematics as well.

If you have interest in these items, please let us know so we can gauge interest. Also, if there is something else you'd like to see happen, please let us know, and if it makes sense, we'll add it to our list to see what we can do. Thanks!!
I'm very interested. I'm running GTS tune (from winkfp) and would also love to get active start/stop working again. I want half of the features you mentioned, but would trade GTS tune for having some of the manual shift memory features, but bringing back ASS. Sounds stupid but sometimes I like saving fuel. lol

Well, call me basic, but the phone control/telematics is what I'm excited about. Since BMW decided to screw even the cars with 4G out of their services, it would be great to have an alternative.

If I could use my phone to send an address to my idrive, I'd have zero complains about he tech on my 13 year old car. Locking/unlocking remotely or vehicle trip info on the phone would just be that much more.

Really cool to see development beyond just refining tunes for the performance. I would be interested in 1,3,4, and 7.

4, 6 and 7 would be my choices Mike.

Not mentioned but one thing I would love for someone to figure out is the ability to drive the car with the door open. It drives me nuts when I'm shuffling the car in the driveway or garage to get in on ramps (for example) that I cannot keep the door open to check if I'm driving where I wanna be in relation to what's on the ground that I cannot see with the doors closed.

I can drive my 2011 Prius with the doors open and I can drive my wife's Model 3 with the doors open as well. Irks the heck out of me that BMW made the choice that the door must be closed in order for the car to be moved. /endrant

You can do it Mike!!

Since I have a 09 without iDrive anything allowing me to get MDM, DCT tunes and general usability enhancements of DCT via telephone would be great. I know some of it can be done remotely but not by myself.

Thanks Ben! Let me know when you're coming down here, have everything ready for your radio retrofit.

We are looking into this for the Harrop supercharger kits, but it's a very long process.

We should be maintain start stop functionality even with performance transmission software. I will test on a 12/13 model in the next month or so. Personally I can't stand that feature, although we did retrofit it to our 2008 about 10 years ago just to see if we could get it to work: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=731085

Telematics features is definitely something we plan on introducing - It will be able to lock/unlock/control lights/return status of locks/doors open, and much more. This will require an active cell phone plan w/ SIM, or a wifi connection. As far as sending an address to the car, unfortunately this will not be part of this implementation.

This is something that drives me bonkers on my X5M. Will look into this at some point, but not a high priority.

At the moment it's extremely difficult to acquire the components needed due to the global chip shortage. It's going to be awhile before all of the components will be available to resume development, but I am definitely excited for the future prospect of this coming together. Thanks everyone!
